- KDKatie Dove3 days ago1.0I was at the customer service desk waiting my turn. There was an elderly woman not understanding a promo that was an online only order. The employee called over for verification and the two managers who walked over (tall bald ish hispanic man and a woman with blonde curly hair that were working on an end cap at the time) told the woman that it can’t be honored because its an online only promo. The woman manager was not very customer friendly and seemed annoyed she had to work. The employee behind the desk (Adam) had amazing customer service and apologized to the woman after explaining how online ordering works. As the two managers walked past me to go back to the end cap the man said “why the hell is he apologizing to her over not honoring something she couldn’t read”. And that to me isn’t a manager. If thats how Jewel employees are treated then somebody needs to look deeper in to who they hire on as managers especially. Adam did a great job helping his customer understand and the manager viewed it as a waste of time and that the customer was stupid. This is probably why the turn over rate is a revolving door. Treat others with respect and do better. If you’re the face of your department then that’s embarrassing to speak to your employee like that who is simply doing his job in CUSTOMER SERVICE.

You can’t get through the aisle because skids or pickers block everything, they took away the baskets for people only needing a few items and turned the produce section into an obstacle course. The deli service is rude and never has chicken. So tired of the nonsense, we need more choices for grocery stores in Romeoville.

So like today I went there Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. because a lot of times by Friday or Saturday they're already out of stock. So they are already out of stock on the first day of the sale. Which is they don't even have the product in stock. This has happened to me so many times in the last 3- 4 years it's ridiculous. I am writing this review because I'm tired of it I'm going to start going to Tony's or Walmart. Been a loyal customer for over 20 years at this location

I asked if I could see it, and she replied "they are not really garbage bags". Then I asked if they had plant tags, and she said that they were at another counter. Which ended up being at the end of the counter where she was working. I'm sure that they have sticks to put the plant tags on, but at this point I was tired of trying to make her help me. She was very impolite and unprofessional. Sadly, she was deliberately trying not to help me.
