  My sibling's and I grew up on Salamone's when it was just a pickup spot near Belvidere. We've remained loyal customers who now bring our kids to or order from primarily the Cherry Valley location until now. Yesterday my 5 year old niece specifically asked for Salamones and to eat there. Due to time and where we were coming from the Mulford location made more sense. We had the absolute worst experience I've ever had. Two different women served us. Neither introducing themselves and I don't even know who was actually our server. When we finally got our food a cheese pizza for her and a salad for me, the pizza was barely done with puddles of grease on it. The salad was also awful. The chicken was excessively dry the lettuce brown. One of the women came to check on us 3 minutes after we got our food then never again. We said our food was ok because I'm diabetic and needed to eat along with time constraint. I also noticed that not a single waitress checked any table. I had to flag someone down to get a check a long while later she brought our check. I paid cash and card she said she was confused about what I wanted so I told her and remained polite. 20 minutes after that conversation no one returned. I had to take my niece to the front desk and ask to finish paying. The woman there was so rude and said she wasn't our server and didn't know who was. Mind you I had already stood at the desk being ignored by everyone for a few minutes. I also explained how long we had been waiting for the check. 6 minutes later someone came with the bill for me to sign. As I said I've been a customer since the small carryout shop was open, but we will absolutely never be a customer again. I RARELY if ever write a review especially negative, and understand if you were short staffed, but hardly anyone was there it was us and 2 tables around 4pm. To be completely ignored and have to seek out service is unacceptable. I will not allow my nephews or niece to be treated that way. It breaks my heart to end a family tradition but we will make new ones at restaurants that actually care about customers and food quality.

  Service and food were amazing! It was our first time eating there and we will definitely be back. Loved the atmosphere as well!

  My wife and I dined at Salamone's North on our 52nd Valentine's Day celebration. A great menu to choose from. A cozy and inviting atmosphere. The food was wonderful, cocktails were well done and the wine selection was broad. Our food server Jackie and bartender Allie also get a 5 Star rating. Also!! Very reasonable prices. This restaurant is a very hidden treasure to the greater Rockford area!! We'll definitely return...........

  I went there for a birthday party with a bunch of friends. The service was amazing. Very attentive and listened well. I had the lasagna. Absolutely excellent. Especially if you like a meaty lasagna. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed

  Their food is AMAZING! 🥰. I love their red sauce and believe me, I'm picky when it comes to red sauces because it is my absolute favorite thing to eat. Great prices and friendly staff as well. Thank you so much for the wonderful experiences Salamone's!
