- LWLarry Wolf3 days ago5.0Have you ever tried to cut a sliced piece of tomato or cucumber with only a fork? I ordered a salad at the Subway on Dundee Rd about 2 miles away but unfortunately, the owner of that store never orders plastic knives. My attempts to rip apart the salad with one fork only resulted in one broken fork, and slices of tomato flying out of the bowl on to my shirt and jeans. Hungry and determined to eat my $14 salad, I had it wrapped and drove to the Subway in Prospect.Heights . There I was greeted by the owner whose name is Mike . He happily welcomed me in and provided me with a knife to cut my salad! Furthermore, he stopped by to make sure I was enjoying my salad ( from the other Subway! ) In today's competitive environment, this type of hospitality is exactly what fosters customer retention. Kudos to you Mike. I'll be back .
