- BGBrian GunakaJan 3, 20262.0I don’t want to outright 1 star this review because I’ve had plenty of good experiences over the years getting harder to find items at this store as well as stocking up for countless holidays, parties and casual weekends. I feel like that business relationship is now torched. When a buddy shows me a time stamped and dated receipt for a bottle of a sought after whiskey (I’m talking minutes earlier) you’d expect to be told the truth. My family spends thousands upon thousands a year on fine items here. I’ve won raffles that take spending and store relationships into account including this years. I don’t expect to be lied to, right to my face, about the bottles not being there today and how it was last week. That leaves an awful taste in my mouth. And when I called to express my discontent about being lied to, Thomas I believe was who answered (curly hair, glasses) simply said, “I get the frustration man”. Except HE was the one who lied to me. And I pointed that out. No real explanation then. Bridge burned. I’ll take my money elsewhere it seems or I’ll make the hike to Oak Brook where GM Anthony cares about his customers.

This was not an isolated incident, which is why I’m taking the time to report it. Just want to make management aware of a pattern of interaction that could benefit from additional coaching or reinforcement of customer-service expectations, particularly at the register where the final interaction leaves a lasting impression. I’ve shopped at Binny’s for years and would like to continue doing so but respectful and professional communication should be consistent.
