I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from this location. Today was my second time ordering. The first time, my order was mostly fine, except I asked for sweet tea and was given unsweetened tea with Splenda packets placed in my paper bag. I was okay with that.
Today, however, was a different experience. I placed an online order at exactly 2:03 PM, and it was delivered at 2:56 PM. The delivery address is only 2.4 miles from the store. By 2:45 PM, the app showed my order as “delivered,” even though I hadn’t received it, so I called the store. The employee who answered, Ben, said he would check on the driver. He then told me the driver had mistakenly marked the order as delivered and was on the way.
I said that was fine and asked why it was taking so long, especially since I didn’t have this issue the first time. He stayed silent for about 10 seconds. I then asked if the delay was due to weather, a lack of drivers, or general delays. I was expecting at least an apology, but instead he said the driver had three other deliveries and mine was the last one. He also said that if I wanted delivery at a specific time, I should schedule the order ahead, and that last-minute orders can vary in delivery time.
If a business prides itself on fast delivery and can’t meet that expectation, the least they can do is communicate courteously and apologize. When the driver finally arrived, I asked what caused the delay, and he simply said, “I don’t know,” although he did wish me a good day.
Overall, the customer service at this location is terrible, and I will not be ordering from here again.
