  I have gotten multiple enjoyable meals at this Jewel-Osco. I have also gotten some Jazz apples I liked here. I was grateful when I found ziploc bags at this store that I was having trouble finding elsewhere, the quart-sized Ziploc brand slider freezer ziploc bags. I am grateful this store has a bunch of different items that I may desire to have. This makes the store convenient They have such a deep inventory, that I could potentially get everything I desired from a single store visit and not have to go to multiple other stores additionally.

  CORRECTION! Google put that bad review here! I was posting about McDonald's on west Madison street. I have no issues with Jewels! This was a Google mess up!

  One star. I was really disappointed by my experience at this Jewel-Osco. The store felt very disorganized and noticeably dirty, which already made shopping unpleasant from the start. On top of that, the customer service area was very rude and not helpful at all. What made the experience even worse was how employees reacted to reusable bags. In Oak Park, bringing reusable bags is encouraged, but at this store it felt like doing the right thing was treated as an inconvenience. The attitude I received made it seem like I was bothering them, and it created a very uncomfortable checkout experience. Between the lack of courtesy and the poor service, grocery shopping here ended up being far more frustrating than it should have been. It had been about four or five years since I had been to a Jewel-Osco because I was living in Wisconsin, and I was actually looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately, something has clearly changed. What used to feel like a normal grocery stop now feels like a horrible experience. Moved on to getting my groceries at Pete’s; much better experience. Day and night.

  I WISH THERE WAS A NEGATIVE, NEGATIVE, NEGATIVE OPTION I'D STILL CHOSSE THE LAST & LOWEST!!! I stopped coming to this store because the staff is NOT HELPFUL, LACKING KNOWLEDGE OF PRODUCTS IN THE STORE and GOD FORBID if you need any assistance that has them to answer a question without 9 ZILLION excuses!!! I came to do a return I saw the customer service desk was closed. I saw this tall african american female with a black skull cap & glasses I couldn't decipher if she she worked at this store or not. I then approached a older caucasian woman on the register that said customer service opens at 8am. But she seemed uncertain with her response. I then saw the african american female & asked could she do the refund. She INSTANTLY had this don't ask me a damn thing, didn't you hear what she just told you attitude!!! Now mind you I wouldn't have any prior knowledge to NOT know if she wasn't authorized to handle customer service related concerns. She IMMEDIATELY said I don't work at customer service they're closed and don't open until 8am. If I worked for customer service I would be over there" Ignorant disrespectful female I didn't ask you where you worked!!! I only asked because when I used to patronize this store I received help from the register where Ms. Know It All was standing at the end of the self serve registers to not prolong having to wait another 15- 20 for customer service to open. Again, I didn't ask for her rank, serial number, blood sample or bank account count information. The REACTION, RESPONSE & OVERALL ATTITUDE WAS NOWHERE NEAR ACCEPTABLE!!! It's TOO EARLY for display of FOOLISHNESS but she was nowhere close to being concerned!!! It was I told you that's it, that's all!!! It's TOO MUCH going on every millisecond of each day. You don't know what a person is going through or dealing with that can cause unnecessary problems over a simple question. She should've thought about not coming to work or just resign and find a place to work that doesn't have you speaking to or interacting with the general public like a cave in "HELL" because this is NOT her calling!!!!!!!!!! She needs to be sent to as many customer service classes available along with a few others I've encountered at this location!!!
