Ordered meals for 3 on-line, and picked up curbside on a Sunday evening. Busy time for the staff member processing carry-outs, but he came out to every car to inform us of the status of each order. The approx. 15-minute delay was reasonable, and the meals were still hot when I got them back to the house. Both the $15 Fireside Favorite BBQ Ranch Bacon Burger and the All-American Burger were excellent, while the Campfire Pot Roast was disappointing. We would return for pick-up or dining in at Lazy Dog on Willow Road, but with more careful choices from the very large menu.

Came here with few friends to celebrate two birthdays. The vibe of the place is good, good crowd. We were seated within a few minutes. However, after getting our table, we didn't get anyone to ask us for drinks or anything else. After sitting there for about 10 minutes, we asked a passing by server for assistance. Fine. After some apologies, our table placed an order for some appetizers, entrees and drinks. While we got one appetizer and our drinks almost instantly, the other appetizers took forever. The had customers but they were not house full. Why not hire more people to help the current team who looked tired and frustrated., we felt bad to keep asking for our food and just waited it out. The time between our first appetizer and our entrees was a gap of at least 30+ mins. A half hour! Where food is concerned. Don't order the Chicken Pot Pie unless if you really like your food very boiled and bland. There was literally zero flavor. Even after adding some hot sauce and black pepper, this was a big regret! Where was the seasoning? Fettuccine was mediocre. A base made using Chardonnay is a hit or miss, and it tasted bitter and just unnecessary. The French onion pastry was oily and looked nothing like it was on the online menu in terms of size. Someone ordered Pad thai Noodles and supposedly they enjoyed it. Overall, the quantity received is good. The menu has a wide selection but the flavors are just not hitting the note. I worked at a restaurant for 13 years, a Pizzaria in Mt Prospect. We would sell out of our Pasta and meatballs. We knew our flavors. I can't see myself visiting again anytime soon. 2.5/5 stars

I usually love Lazy Dog. This was our first time at the Northbrook location. Began with our menu having only one page. When we asked our server what happened, she said do you really want another menu, or can you just share the other one. Then she didn't come back for a very long time. Our food came out before our appetizer, and my husband's burger was supposed to be medium well, but it was bloody and cold inside. My meal came with a dessert but we had to remind her because she only offered the check. I don't think I would come back to this location. By the way, it was not busy in the slightest way.

We had a really good time at Lazy Dog in Northbrook. The food was great, service was on point, and the drinks were solid. The place was clean and had a fun vibe, lots of energy. There was good a mix of people there—families with kids, younger folks, couples; everyone seemed to be having a good time. I got the pot roast sandwich, my wife had the fried chicken salad, and my daughter ordered the crunch tuna. All of it was really good. I also tried the "Bonita, Bonita" beer, which is quickly becoming a favorite. We'll definitely be back when it's a bit warmer to hang out in the patio area (maybe sooner by the fire!)

We had a wonderful experience at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. The food was absolutely delicious — the smashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and cooked to a crisp golden perfection, and the apple-huckleberry pie was exceptional. The aroma alone was amazing, and it tasted just as good as it smelled — warm, comforting, and memorable. What truly made the evening stand out was the exceptional service. When we arrived, I requested a quiet table since one of my guests has difficulty hearing in spaces with background noise. The manager, Michael Wright, overheard my request and thoughtfully suggested the heated patio. He personally checked the music level and proactively turned it down so we could comfortably enjoy conversation. We ended up having a cozy dinner by the stone fireplace, which made the evening even more special. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers both outstanding food and such attentive, professional service. Michael went above and beyond, and we will absolutely be returning.
