  I am very pleased with my few times visiting Lazy Dog restaurant. I tried carry out a few times and found the food to be very good. I ordered the campfire pot roast twice. Since I had a good experience with the takeout, I decided to go check out the inside with a friend that was visiting from out of town. We were just going for a drink so we sat at the bar. I found the bar to be very well designed, it's modern, but not out of place modern. It was very inviting. On top of a couple drinks, we ordered the pie tin nachos and tikka Masala meatballs. Both dishes were fantastic, but also very unique. The house sauces they make on both were different, but incredibly delicious. I think I'm more impressed with the variety of choices you're given here. They do a wonderful job of giving you choices, but also cooking them to perfection. All in all, I'm very pleased with Lazy Dog. I also want to mention the bartender, didn't catch her name, but she was phenomenal. She was not in our face yet she was very friendly, she was extremely attentive, and every single time my water was empty, she was on it. She was a younger red head in case management reads this. She's a keeper! I'll be back for sure.

  I think our server was having a bad day. Not very attentive and just about everything took a long time. She gave us a jug of water but only 2 glasses for a table of 4. We immediately asked for 2 more but after 15+ minutes we asked again. Soda was flat. We informed her of this but refill was the same. We ended up telling manager and he confirmed it was flat and they would fix. This was at the end of our meal. One burger came out rare when it should have been medium. Sent it back and received new burger when the other 3 was done with their dinners. In the end the manager comped us for the sodas and late burger so that was good. We may try again to see if it was just an off night. Place got busy so I assume this is normally a good restaurant. Food was good, bison burger had no taste. Stir fry and cheese burger was good.

  We recently had a great dining experience at The Lazy Dog in Northbrook, IL. Our waitress Mary Carmen was excellent, very pleasant, and delightful; she went above & beyond to make our dinner experience very special, as she guided us through all the food & drink options on the menu. The food was delicious. We were celebrating 2 birthdays in our party of 4; Mary Carmen helped us with our low-key celebration with some very tasty desserts. I highly recommend The Lazy Dog in Northbrook for its great variety of food, wonderful ambiance, reasonable prices, and outstanding customer service (thanks again to Mary Carmen).

  We randomly found this place, and boy oh boy are we glad we did. My 12 year old until today he was a plain burger kid. Tonight at Lazy Dog he ate a proper burger and LOVED IT. The food was amazing. The service TOP notch. I definitely definitely recommend this place. Can't wait until we visit again and try something new of the menu. Even the drinks were delicious. Thank you for a great family dinner. One happy and well fed woman. 🤩🤩🤩

  I had no specific knowledge of this restaurant when we picked it on a whim before going to the Chicago Botanical Garden. We called ahead and made a reservation for 10 including 4 kiddos. They gave us a private room (which was really nice given the energy of the kids) and made it special for one or the kid's second birthday that we were celebrating together. Eli was a wonderful waiter! Couldn't recommend his service more - he was kind, silly, and patient with the kids and made great food recommendations. The firecracker shrimp are a must have. I loved the campfire pot roast. The birthday boy also got a treat which all the kids enjoyed sharing! Highly recommend for a family outing with kids. We will be back!
