I have family in the Bloomington-Normal area that I visit frequently and this is one of my go to spots when I'm in town. A bit pricey, but I have a double whammy of Gluten and Dairy allergies that makes pizza impossible at 99% of pizza shops. Not a problem for Pizza Payaa, their Detroit style gluten free pizza with vegan cheese is to die for. Airy and just ever slightly chewy crust with the perfect amount of red sauce and toppings. I honestly never thought I'd eat great pizza again. P.S. To any out of towners like myself, the parking situation is absolutely awful, just order for delivery!

Dined here for the first time today, food was DELICIOUS! Spinach dip was sooo good, maybe best I've had, and the Parmesan garlic wings were THE BOMB! Also loved the specialty pizza, and the service was great! They were also very accommodating with our large party. Will definitely be back!

Cant say enough good things about this place. During the government shutdown the owner set aside their own money and if you have a snap card any kid could get a free single topping pizza. We went there and ordered the Hot date which had roasted tomato sauce, whipped goat cheese, bacon, chorizo, and dates and let me tell you how mind blowing good this pizza was. I couldn't stop talking about it for hours. The waiter was very friendly and chatted with us and talked about how the chef came up with a pizza that had dates on it. I would definitely support a business like this. I think for what they are doing for the community everyone should go and get a pizza to help feed the children and experience some amazing food and staff.

First time here. We did make reservations. We were greeted and sat as soon as we walked in. The service was friendly and fast. We both ordered a drink from their special drink list. They were delicious. We ordered bread bits and both ordered pizza. Everything was served hot and tasty. I would definitely recommend.

Buyer beware. We ordered Pizza Payaa regularly since its open but after our last order and the subsequent interaction with management we won't go again. We ordered a 3-Cheese Basil pizza. We've had it before and we like it. It comes with chewy caramelized cheese edges. You can see we posted a picture of the pizza as it appears on the menu. The pizza we got was a huge departure from what we usually receive and looked quite a bit different from the menu photo. There was about 50% of the sauce and cheese advertised/usually served. You can see in the photos that there are bare edges of an inch in some areas. Additionally the cheese edge was just a very light sprinkle of cheese (not consistent with what we usually receive) that had completely burnt and even was just burnt black in some spots. Crunchy, hard, and burnt- not browned and caramelized. Mistakes happen, cool, so I reached out with photos and figured that given what we are paying and Pizza Payaa's general good reputation, it would be no problem to have the bad pizza addressed. Nope, the manager I was speaking with is telling me that the pizza I received is completely normal. They even told me that the blackened, hard edges are flavorful and tasty. Again, we have had this pizza, we know what it should be like and it is obviously not right if you look at it. We would have been fine if they had just been able to admit that a bad pizza left the kitchen, but they are committed to making us think it's OUR PROBLEM is just crazy to me. At over $20 for a small pizza, the least you can do is make sure your menu matches what is being served. This place will go under, I know I'll share my bad experience with every friend and family member I have.
