Food was great, your hostess Kaitlyn was rude and ignorant right from when we walked in the door and throughout the dinner even. Server was very nice and polite but was terrible at his job. We had to flag him down the entire evening and there was about 20 people total in the restaurant ( 9 of that count is my table ). Every time we needed something and would turn to look for him he was nowhere in site. I spend anywhere from $1,700-$2,200 a year at Shinto. The service has been bad the last few times and getting worse every time. It’s time I take my business elsewhere.

The service was top tier! Literally everybody was nice. First time going and will be back. It was 4 of us and everything was good. Usually I start away from combo rice(shrimp, chicken, beef) bc either the beef is too chewy or the chicken tastes weird.... NOT here that was my favorite thing. Definitely recommend and they have lunch and happy hour specials as well.

Oof this was rough. Came for my 4 year olds birthday dinner. A fish was dead in the tank. We are two adults with 3 small kids, they did not seat anyone else at our table. The shrimp was good but the steak, salad, soup, and fried rice were not. We kept having to ask for service and despite telling them many times it was our son’s birthday, they did nothing to celebrate him. All the tables around us were clearing doing birthday celebrations. We ordered the crème brûlée for him and it came out as a custard with a watery substance on top, no carmelized sugar topping. Such a bad experience for a momentous event in our lives. We will not be returning.

Went here with a group of 5 people. We didn't order anything extravagant and only one alcoholic beverage, plus soft drinks. Bill with tip was over $300.
Everyone in my group thought that Domo 77 Japanese restaurant, only 5 minutes away was way better and cheaper as well.
Atmosphere was nice. Table show for Hibachi was decent, however the onion tower with flames was WAY TOO BIG in my opinion. Flames almost seared my hair off. Giant Flames that my wife and I did not appreciate.
Overall, I probably won't be going back again.

I used to come here when it first opened- I moved back to the area so wanted to check it out again. I was pleased to see how busy and lively the place was when i walked in. I sat at the bar and both bartenders passed the vibe check big time. Matt and Tyler were sociable and overall just great bartenders. I feel like service like this is rare these days. These guys made my night. If they see this, thanks! I ordered the seaweed salad, a big kirin light, and two specialty rolls- I asked Matt to surprise me and he came out with a flash fried heat roll and the “little delicious.” Everything was delicious. Perfect heat and crunch. Presentation was nice, place was clean. I’ll definitely be back. Also, they have a ton of specialty cocktails that seem to be really popular with the guests- I feel like this is also rare, so definitely check it out. 10/10
