I am so disappointed with this place. We have been customers for 10 years now, we live over an hour away also. But that never stopped us from coming here almost every weekend for months at a time. But the last two experiences we had here were awful and we didn’t even get to eat.
The first bad experience was we had made a reservation and sitting outside was the only option. We live over an hour away, we were about 15 minutes away from blue sushi when it started raining, they don’t let people sit outside in the bad weather it’s their policy which is fine. But they told us our reservation was no longer available and we could put our name in for a 3 hour wait time when we got there. Even though I had made reservations earlier in the week. Whatever.
The last experience a few weeks ago, it was 3:30 pm on a Saturday when we showed up, with an extremely hungry toddler. There were two ladies in front of us in line talking with the hostess, we had heard the hostess tell them they wouldn’t be able to get a table till 8:30 pm, even though there were over 10 empty tables. But then the hostess asked another worker to see what she could do. She came back and had a table ready for the two ladies in front of us. It’s our turn to let the hostess know how many with our party (it was 2 people and toddler) and told us “sorry we can’t seat you till 8:30pm that’s when our next available table is” it was 3:30 pm and there were plenty of tables open. We obviously had no choice but to leave and the hostess laughed at us on our way out.
My husband was livid, after 10 years of coming there and spending almost $200 there every visit, it’s definitely a slap in the face. Blue sushi was his favorite restaurant and now he says we will never go back. Sad to see what it’s become, idk if it’s a status thing and that’s why they wouldn’t seat us but it definitely felt like discrimination.

Absolutely love The Blue Sushi Sake Grill! This has become one of my go-to spots for sushi, and I just can’t get enough of their vegan options. I’ve been here three times now, and every visit feels just as special as the first. The quality and consistency are truly impressive.
The vegan sushi here is beyond amazing — fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully made. You can tell the chefs really care about creating a great experience for everyone, not just traditional sushi lovers. The flavors are perfectly balanced, the ingredients taste incredibly fresh, and the presentation is always beautiful.
What I appreciate most is that the experience never changes — it’s always top-notch. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is vibrant but relaxing, and everything just feels perfectly put together. It’s rare to find a place where you know exactly what to expect in the best way possible.
If you’re vegan or even just curious about trying plant-based sushi, this place is a must-visit. Every bite reminds me why I keep coming back!

Went on a solo lunch date and this was the perfect place to enjoy a nice meal. I did get a little attitude from the girl at the front when I requested a table for 1. She wanted to sit me at the bar and I sensed her hostility at my request. It wasn’t busy and there was no wait yet she said it would take another 15 min to clean up the tables.
The food was delicious and fresh, although it did take a while to come. My server was very kind but struggled having to handle so many tables at the same time. Lovely restaurant and delicious food, however I feel it would be best for pickup, unfortunately.

I went to a sushi restaurant to pick up my order. The hostess at the door was on the phone — I understand she was doing her job, but she was extremely rude to me. I waited for about 10 minutes, and when the order was finally ready, she just threw the bag in front of me.
I’m not the kind of person who usually writes reviews, but this time I just couldn’t stay silent 🙏🏻
