Items that they do mark down on sale, their system doesn't recognize the sale price and charges full price. Every visit I need to have things corrected at the register, but that is difficult because they don't apply discounts/coupons until the very end when they ring up your total. Then I need to go to customer service and tell them that no, I'm not paying $35 for 4 boxes of cereal, they were on sale for $2 each when buying 4 boxes. I feel bad for the people who don't notice the pricing issues because I guarantee it's happening to many more people than just me. And come on... The digital "For U" coupons are the worst. You go around the store and everyone has their phones out desperately trying to clip coupons in the poorly designed Jewel App. Except internet/data signals are terrible in the store so it barely works half the time. Even when you clip coupons, sometimes they just won't work. Like 80-90% of my coupons work, and the other 10-20% don't work and are still sitting clipped in my account for the items I just bought (and yes, I verified I bought the right items in the right size). It's not a me problem, it a Jewel problem. I would like to say that them having employees to bag your groceries is a plus, but most times the just throw all your stuff in bags without any care, resulting in crushed items, food falling out of containers, and other questionable bagging choices. Now I just shop at Aldi or Walmart, it's a much better experience.

If something’s on sale it’s on sale. Often a 2/1 doesn’t come up even at the end of ringing stuff up and that’s a sneaky way to do business. I choose to not shop here. I’m sure the store is fine but I choose to avoid Jewel.

The latest was today when I added to my order and finding out that my Link card was preautherized initially and that the added items were then charged to my debit card and not Link. At no time in the process is this stated. Customer service offered no solution and suggested that in the future, if I didn't want my card charged, that I not add anything. It's doubtful that I will shop again at Jewel.
