  Stopped for a smoothie and an employee named, Josie was super polite and friendly. Confirmed order. Order was made properly. I didn't have my app ready and she patiently waited and even offered to redo transaction if needed. I would highly recommend this location.

  This morning, my family and I visited Tropical Smoothie Café at the Montgomery location. While I generally have a positive experience here, I believe the customer service from the staff could be improved. I was disappointed with the way the employee addressed my grandmother, who had some difficulty hearing her due to her monotonous tone. Additionally, when we inquired about the sides for our order, she mentioned two options—chips or whole fruit. We chose the whole fruit, and she scoffed, responding with, "I have an apple," as if an apple isn't considered whole fruit. While I’m not certain if this is typical, I found the response to be somewhat condescending. Upon finishing our order, the employee proceeded to communicate with us in this manner. After receiving our food, my mother commented that the employee seemed overall bothered by us ordering, and I have to agree. I felt a bit disrespected by her etiquette. I understand she may have been having a difficult day, but a more professional and courteous approach would have been appreciated. There is room for growth in this regard. Granted, I can say that she worked fast and my food was nothing short of well-prepared. Ultimately, when I sat down to enjoy my meal, I found my appetite was diminished. Due to this experience, I can only give what might have been a 4-star rating a lower score—more in the realm of mediocrity.

  I am compelled to share my disappointing experience at this particular Tropical Smoothie location, where I have encountered several issues, including missing ingredients, potential use of old ingredients, and unprofessional customer service. My most recent visit was marred by a smoothie that tasted like onion instead of the ginger I requested, and a Watermelon Mojito smoothie that was not prepared correctly. When I attempted to call the location, someone answered and hung up laughing, which I found unprofessional. The lack of professionalism may be attributed to the youthful staff. Furthermore, I found hair on the side of my cup, which added to the unpleasant experience. I feel it is essential to inform others of these issues for future reference. Unfortunately, I am currently drinking a smoothie that tastes like red onion from Tropical Smoothie.
