  Not as expected and reviews were right. Called in an order of their potato wedges, was told it will take 10 minutes. Got there and they couldn’t find my order so I had to wait another 10 minutes. The wedges did not look like in their menu pictures. The cheese was totally overcooked on the wedges and they tasted just like Jewel’s. This was my first time and I’m sorry to say, it was not a great experience. Next time I want potato wedges I’ll make the drive to Olando’s in Round Lake.

  Was excited to see a Leona's out in the suburbs. That said, we weren't impressed with this location. They charge a surcharge for using a credit card, but don't show it in writing anywhere before ordering (it shows up after the fact on the receipt). The pasta dish I ordered was bland - it lacked flavor. Garlic bread was decent. My husband ordered one of their pull-aparts, which he liked... but it came out after I was already finished with my meal. As mentioned in other reviews, there is no wait staff, so you do it all yourself other than bringing the food to the table.

  Don’t even bother walking in this place! We heard they opened in July and were meeting my DIL and grandsons for an early after school dinner. My husband and I arrived at 3:45 to an empty parking lot, but still decided to go in. That was a mistake! My husband used the restroom as I spoke with the unenthusiastic young man behind the counter/make shift bar. He told me to seat ourselves, but we’d need to go back up to the counter as they had no servers. I then asked for menus and he informed me they don’t have any printed yet and we’d need to order off the poster size menu at the counter. I sat and waited for my husband to return, trying to look out the filthy, grimy windows. When he returned for the restroom, he shook his head saying, “ let’s go, this place is disgusting; including the restroom.” Needless to say, we will not be returning……. Ever!!!

  Place an order for a stuffed pizza online at 4:30 for pick-up at 5:30 because even though I have never ordered a stuffed pizza before I knew it would take longer and a regular pizza. At 5:11 I received a text that my order wouldn't be ready until 5:55. I called the pizzeria to inquire about the different pick up time and was told that the system didn't release orders until a half hour before they were due, that they were working on this issue and that I should have called the order in. I let her know that there were no notes on the website that that stuffed pizzas should be ordered any differently. Again was told they were working on it. I chalked this all up to a mishap/growing pains and decided to go hang out there until the pizza was ready. Ordered a beer and the young man handed me my unopened beer and a bottle opener! Sat and chatted with the lady that I assume was the manager and as 5:50 approached I decided I would have another beer (again unopened) was expecting my pizza to be ready within 5-10 minutes. My pizza wasn't done until approximately 6:15 and then I sat for 5(or more) minutes waiting to pay for my beers as the manager and the young man that was taking orders delt an order at the counter. As my pizza was getting cold I was heading to the ATM to get cash to pay when I was finally offered a way to pay at a hand held kiosk. When I got the pizza home it was OK, not terrible but not great. Second time ordering ahead (in plenty of time) and second time I had to wait makes this a "no go" for me again.

  I was really looking forward to Leona’s opening up in town. I’ve always remembered Leona’s Pizza from their Chicago location, great pies and great service. The pizza here is still very good, but the customer service is absolutely terrible. This isn’t a one time thing either. I’ve been there five different times now, thinking maybe it was just an off day or a new team getting settled in, but the same thing keeps happening. The young staff working there are consistently rude, unhelpful, and seem completely uninterested in providing any level of service. It’s disappointing because the food deserves better representation. Honestly, I’ve received much better customer service at most fast-food places, which says a lot. Unfortunately, after giving them multiple chances, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
