Decided to visit more local restaurants. There are so many great eateries in the surrounding communities that often get overlooked. Went on a Sunday evening. Busy, but no wait. Reservations are preferred. The restaurant is quite quaint. Rustic feel, which was nice. There were a few families so it is family friendly.
Our waiter, cant remember his name was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu and made a few recommendations. We ordered the chicken piccata, penne pasta with chicken and for the appetizer stuffed mushrooms. The stuffed mushrooms take a little to prepare, so order them immediately. They were worth the wait and delicious.
The portions for our entrees was robust. We had plenty to take home. Chicken picccata was just a tad salty, but still quite flavorful. The baked penne was even better the 2nd day. Loaded with riccota, parmesan cheesed and baked just right. For dessert, we shared a tiramisu which was very good. Will definitely come back to try the pizza and salads. It seemed to be the selection of choice for those dining around us.
Seating is tight. Tables are very close together. Probably could eliminate a table up front to allow for a littlw more walk space between tables.
Conversation volume is high which made it tough to talk sometimes.

The service is hit or miss depending on what server you get but the food is outstanding. Both of my grandchildren eat their broccoli and if you can get little ones to eat broccoli you know their food is good.? I’ve been coming here for years and I’ll never say No to their food.

Our family loves ❤️ Lucca's. Best pizza around the southwest burbs. Their wine 🍷 selection is superb. The staff and employees and chefs are amazing. Our daughter craves and devours the Alfredo chicken noodles. My wife and I treasure the fresh salads 🥗. Lucca's is a special part of La Grange.

I visited here for the first time with friends who suggested it to us. We were impressed by the food and wide ranging menu but the absolute star of the show was the waitstaff. Besides the very attentive bus team we were served by Sarah our waitress. Cannot say enough about. Friendly, helpful and informative our whole table had an extra special experience. Highly recommend Lucca's for a fun night out.
