I ordered ground turkey through Instacart and the package was visibly bubbled/swollen on arrival — which indicates temperature abuse and that the meat is no longer safe to consume. This is basic food safety. When I called the store, the first employee I spoke with was helpful and tried to assist. However, once the manager, Denise, took over the call, the interaction became unnecessarily argumentative. She asked me questions, cut me off while I was answering, and repeatedly implied fault on the Instacart driver rather than addressing the actual issue: spoiled meat being delivered. For context, I ordered priority delivery, live two minutes from the store, and tracked the delivery in real time. I also rarely, if ever, return items. Arguing with a loyal customer over a $9 item instead of simply acknowledging the issue and resolving it was frustrating and unprofessional. I expect better customer service and better handling of food safety concerns from management. I hope this is addressed going forward.

As a latino with a dark skin tone, it made me so uncomfortable and changed my whole mood, and probably will just order online that stepping foot in the store.
