  Extremely overpriced. Everything is knocked up 40% compared to other retailers like Target Walmart etc. Weekly ads and coupons will leave you paying regular prices at best. Loved shopping here until I realized how much I was overpaying.

  Called the bakery dept for a quick turnaround on a gender reveal cake. The cake turned out so amazing. What a wonderful experience. The lady who helped me was great. Kudos to Jewel!

  I spoke to the store manager brandon today. He insisted on the panhandlers being legit and allowed in jewel entrances. The have hand written papers and posters claiming to be vets asking for money. Not only stolen valor but completely irresponsible for jewel to allow elderly people to get robbed of their money. When checking the venmo associated with the “completely legitimate organization” it comes back to an individuals name and bank account. What a joke do better Brandon.

  The Village GreenJewel Osco grocery store has a good selection of products which are well organized. It also has a very busy pharmacy which fills prescriptions quickly. I visit this store frequently and singly recommend it.

  We recently moved to this area, and I’ve been to this Jewel-Osco three times and every single time I was overcharged. The first two visits, it was just one or two items, so I didn’t think much of it. But the last time was honestly shocking. I didn’t catch it in the store, and when I got home, I was wondering why my total was almost $110. I went through my receipt and realized I was overcharged on multiple items in total, almost $35. I called the store right away, hoping they could review it on their end, but I was told I had to come back in person. So I drove back. Brandon at the front desk did give me a refund ($30.91), but it was still less than what I was actually overcharged. I only realized that after recalculating at home, so that part is on me. What really disappointed me was the overall experience. There was no apology, no acknowledgment — nothing. At this point, it feels like I have to double-check every single item I buy to make sure I’m not being overcharged. That’s not how grocery shopping should be. It’s very frustrating because this store is so close to my home, and I really wanted it to work out. But after being overcharged three separate times — and this last time by over $30 I honestly don’t feel comfortable shopping here anymore and will likely go out of my way to another location. I hope management takes this seriously both the pricing accuracy and the customer service. At the very least, a simple “sorry” would go a long way.
