  While I shop at this store on a regular basis, I am tired of going in here and ALWAYS finding the “flash deal” items never in stock. I have shopped during all day parts, and at various other Jewel stores as well, and it’s the same at every Jewel store. I’m beginning to think they advertise these great deals, then put only a few of the items out and only the lucky few who happen to be there at just the right time are able to get the deal. Do better Jewel!

  I want to give a huge shoutout to Tyreek in the deli department at Jewel. His mannerisms and customer service were very, very good. While he was packing my food, he took the time to ask how my day was and genuinely engaged in conversation. He mentioned that he just started working there, and if this is how he’s starting out, that says a lot. This is exactly the type of customer service that needs to continue. Friendly, attentive, and professional. Tyreek is amazing and truly made my experience better.

  I just bought the worst chicken nuggets I've ever had in my entire life at this store on Feb 21st, 2026 at about 4:30 p.m. They were from the hot case with the rotisserie chickens. I would advise anyone to not waste the $1 on these disgusting, old chicken nuggets. They literally tasted like they've been sitting there for 5 days.

  Went to Jewel today in Homewood for their one day sale, they was out of the Crab Legs and the Fish sandwich. The limit on Crab Legs was 10lbs, people had 4 and 5 bags I'm sure they are over 10lbs and no raincheck unbelievable.

  If I could make it zero stars I would. I had foot surgery recently so had to had to have my husband pick up groceries I chose at the drive- up “service”. He did it twice and everything I ordered was messed up. Your employees substituted items I indicated i didnt want at all. The packaged lunchmeat and whole chicken I ordered were past/or one day till past due dates. The meat was rancid. So much for lunch and dinner! The deli wait is ALWAYS 45 min. Ugh! The items from produce, apples, tomatoes were rotten. I’ll never go back. I’ll stick w Target next door. They’re very efficient in their choices for me. Aldi down Halsted is even better. Will also try Bercots/the old Walts on 183rd st. Someone needs to do something about the garbage food and horrible staff. I tried calling the Customer Service at 8:25 this evening and no one answered after 25 min on hold. Never going back, if anyone cares Also, these responses from previous reviews sound like someone is passing problems to another desk and nothing is being done to remedy the inefficiencies.
