Quick story. I do doordash part time and had a shopping order at this location. The order contained shrimp that I had to get at the seafood/meat counter. Woman behind the counter told me that it was prepackaged in the freezer right in front/across of the counter. I didn’t think it was the right thing since the doordash app specifically said that it was the shrimp behind the counter. I thought: okay, maybe it’s the ones she pointed out. I scanned the packaging and it said it wasn’t the right product. I went back to the woman employee and said that it wasn’t the right thing. She insisted it was, and I said that I thought it was the shrimp behind the counter. (It was)
She then came out behind the counter and literally said, “this is what you need”. No ma’am, it is not. I need what the customer asked for. I then pointed to the $5.99 shrimp and asked for 2 pounds of it. She then gave me a weird answer and said “I can’t give you 2 pounds, that’s like all of it.” Okay??? Isn’t that the goal of the store? To sell products? She kept saying that the frozen packaged ones in the freezer was the same thing and began to clearly get frustrated. If someone wants a Home Run Inn pizza and they get Jack’s instead - yes they’re the same product technically but we have brands and stuff for a reason.
This woman employee, Caucasian, on the shorter side, and a deeper voice, started talking to me like I was stupid. Like for real. I work in the service industry too, and I gotta say, people with attitudes like this don’t last long for a good reason. I asked her if I said/did something that warranted her behavior but she ignored me.
Long story short, this person was straight up disrespectful, standoffish, and if it wasn’t for doordash I would NEVER recommend this location to anyone. Someone needs to talk to her to come correct because that BS ain’t gonna fly with me.
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk
