This store is clearly not designed for short people, older shoppers, or people with disabilities. I had to ask for help just to reach a basic item, and even then, the employee (a very tall man) had to literally climb the shelves to get it down for me. That is not normal, not acceptable, and not safe for anyone, customer or worker. If your staff has to scale your shelving like a ladder, your store is poorly designed and hazardous. Someone is going to get hurt if they haven’t already. This level of inaccessibility is embarrassing in 2026 and shows a total lack of care for your community. Do better, Jewel. This is unacceptable.

- ANArtiom NecrasovJan 3, 20261.0Self checkout at Jewel Osco Glenview on Pfingsten Rd around 1:00 to 1:10 PM, Jan 3rd 2026 was a really negative experience. The attendant (Mirsada) was condescending, repeatedly interrupted me, raised her tone, and rushed me through the process even though most registers were open. I was trying to apply an app deal and confirm my membership and clipped deal were applied, but she insisted the deal was not clipped even while it showed clipped in the app. She did not have a name badge and refused to tell me her name when I asked, which made the situation worse. She then said she was “done,” stormed off, and talked loudly about me, which was embarrassing. Later she told my wife that I was rude, but my wife was right there and confirmed she did not hear me say anything rude or raise my voice. The employee even said, “Oh! Now I will be condescending.” Management should coach staff on respectful communication and de escalation at self checkout, and make sure employees wear name badges and identify themselves when asked.
