Terrible experience all around. I ordered the seafood soup and was served a large bowl of what was basically flavored water — barely any seafood in it at all. My friends ordered different dishes, and everything seemed like it had been reheated in a microwave. The food did not taste fresh, and nothing came close to authentic Mexican flavor.
We tried talking to the server about the issues, but she was unhelpful and not attentive at all. For the high prices they charge, you'd expect much better quality and service. Sadly, this place completely misses the mark.
Save your money and STAY AWAY from this place!

The food was good. Wish the pricing match the portions. This placed is not what it used to be. Not sure what has happened in the last year or so but from the drinks to the service definitely not the best. The drinks were juice with a splash of tequila (barely) then you voice your concerns and they don’t want to change it for a different drink. They did remake it but the odds of the same person who made it the first time making it right the second time are slim. They need an actual bartender instead of having waitress make the drinks. They are expensive as it is and for them to taste juiced/watered down, no thanks.
Live music is so loud you can barely have a conversation.
I used to love this place. But now it feels like they care more about money than customers. What a shame. Won’t be returning.

We ordered two shrimp ceviches from the drive-thru at The Las Islas VIP. Nowhere on the menu or signage did it indicate that the ceviche was extremely spicy — so spicy, in fact, that it was completely inedible. On top of that, they gave us one shrimp and one fish ceviche, even though we clearly ordered two shrimp.
We tried to return the order the same evening, but they had closed early due to July 4th. I went back the next morning, arrived exactly at 11:00 AM (their opening time), and was told they would not refund or exchange the $40 I had paid. They said the owner has a strict “no refund/no exchange” policy — but also said if I had come back the day before, they would have done it. Absurd.
To make things worse, they kept both ceviches — so they took my money and my food, which I could not eat.
Unprofessional and dishonest service. Do not buy here. There are plenty of better, fairer, and more transparent places to enjoy ceviche in town. AVOID.
