  I was really excited to try this Black-owned restaurant. I had a 1:00 reservation, arrived at 1:05, and wasn’t seated until 1:31. My food didn’t come out until 2:18. The waitress was very nice and attentive—even with the long wait—but the service timing was disappointing. An 18% gratuity was automatically included. The food was good, but the wait was too long and it was incredibly loud inside. Would I go back? Probably not to dine in—but I would consider ordering takeout.

  This place was open as early as I needed it to be. We chose this place based off of the reviews and menu items. The place looks very empty when we first arrived but we got there very early it quickly started filling up. We chose a six-person table because we had a baby it was easy for us to move around the place was dead when we got there so we basically chose the biggest table and not thinking anything of it. We ordered about 15 minutes after arriving after looking at the menu carefully. All the food arrived at different times even though me and my friend ordered the exactly the same thing Chicken and Waffles. I also ordered a burger for my daughter. The food was actually delicious. If you're big into seasoning and to Savory dishes this is your place. My biggest complaint was that the eggs were cold and all of our food came at different times and different temperatures. The flavors are great, its just the execution. And the prices were very much on the higher side. We were charged 18% gratuity for just two adults one child and one baby. That part didn't make sense to me and I was also charged a very Hefty credit card fee. Are bill was a little bit over $97 for three meals two coffees in a kids size Sprite. Definitely a good place to try. Towards the end I felt like they needed the table so there was a pressure to leave I wish I would have been assigned seating, but we were given the Liberty to sit anywhere. If you're there early enough and the Sun shining you might catch that the sun will shine straight into your face. I would love to see them covering and shading some of the front windows.

  Toast It IZ is a vibe...raise a class to the delicious food, inviting atmosphere and the friendly and attentive staff. We were looking for a breakfast spot and this place didn't disappoint. My sister and I had the house skillet and my husband had the vegetable skillet...we're senior citizens so the seasoning and portion size was just right. Table space was a little tight for three people, but we made it work. Shout out to our server, Jam, thank you! This is a recipe for an awesome restaurant, keep the energy and personality going...we'll definitely be back!

  Upon entry communication is key when sitting your reservations explain the wait reason. Better communication better understanding. Next, waiting for my food took over an 1 hour, it is Valentine's Day. My res was for 10:45 didn't get the food until 12.30.My food was sat at another table for another guest to touch. The waitress took the food from one table to bring to my table after guest touched it. Thankfully he said something. They took the plates back, 5 min later bring me my order. If I've waited almost 2hours for my food you can't tell me that was a freshly cooked plate. I'm not crazy. Manager stated took someone else order that was exactly the same? The fact you would turn around and cause another table to suffer and possibly create 2 customer service issues is not understanding to me. At this point I don't trust it and I don't want anything. Thanks for the mimosas but Maybe, just maybe I will try them again on a less crowded day. It's probably too much going on for them to function at full capacity. Manager outside taking a smoke break instead of handling the situation. I don't know why it says evergreen but it's the downtown location.

  I just would like to say the service here was wonderful I really enjoyed my time here and will be back!! I am so annoyed at myself for not getting my waiter name. He was a brown skin guy with braces & tattoos on his neck and provided great service!!!! We came the day after Valentine’s days and was told last minute the kitchen was out of Mac and cheese I just want to say he provided great service with communication and going about accommodating me and my family needs. He was wonderful and his good gesture he did on the side did not go unnoticed because of of his effort and attitude i will be back!!! Thank you again to my waiter the guy with the braces, he has tattoos up his neck he was wonderful with a positive attitude!!!!!
