After waiting 45 minutes in line I left the line wasn't moving. As I'm leaving out 3 young men in uniform gets out of car and proceeds to go into the store. I'm assuming they work there but why is 3 employees taking a break at once while the line is out their door
After waiting 45 minutes in a line that wasn’t moving, I decided to leave. As I was exiting, three young men in uniform got out of their car and walked into the store. I assumed they worked there, but why were three employees taking a break simultaneously while the line was out their door?

This 5th time will be my last. The amount of food is decreasing. The juices are like water not even flavor water .When they first open it good I went practically every other day. Keep my $ 20 . When I order food, the portions are extremely small — sometimes just a small amount on a piece of lettuce with barely any sauce. I am being charged for extras, but I am not receiving the full portions that were ordered. The online price appears correct, but the quantity given is much less. It feels like only a partial portion is being provided.

Long review.
The food is amazing! Very flavorful! Delicious! The service on the other hand could use some training. Maybe it’s because I went when they first opened? The chairs were not down to sit in and eat, the food was not ready to be served we had to wait 10 minutes after open to be served.
I ordered the HARISSA CHICKEN POWER BOWL yes I appreciate that they asked me what I wanted on it but I want what comes with the bowl on the menu. One server still missed ingredients even while having the ingredient card in front of them. That server was so busy trying to film a TikTok blog with the lady behind me that she skipped the feta cheese and the skhug sauce, no yogurt dill sauce either. I had to ask for the sauce and when I asked was feta included, she said no would you like some…. It indeed is included on the card. I know this because I read the menu and they placed the ingredient card in my bag I’m sure I’m not the first and I’m sure they are making new ingredients cards as we speak.
Over all food is good service needs training. Happy CAVA is in the neighborhood
First time trying today and the food was amazing. Fresh tasting, seasoned, and overall yummy cuisine. Sadly, I was only impressed with one employee’s customer service. The dark skin girl who started my bowl seemed new/uninterested because she didn’t understand the portions to give, didn’t care to ask, and when asked about the protein she didn’t mention that there’s an option for either a full portion or two half portions. Nor did she mention that a pita comes with your bowl. For someone’s first time, I wouldn’t have known that at all. She also didn’t seem happy to be there. I understand how frustrating a busy day could be, but the customers have no control over that. The light skin girl with glasses gave amazing service & was so sweet even while knowing it was my first time. She walked me through the rest of my bowl very nicely. The lady at the register was nice but she overcharged me. She didn’t confirm what bowl I had and assumed I had harissa chicken. I didn’t realize she overcharged me until I got home and saw the receipt. Beautiful execution on the food but please please please work on enforcing better communication and customer service to ALL employees.
I went to Cava in Evergreen Park, IL today (2/9/26) around 12pm, and honestly, the staff training at this location needs serious reevaluation.
The line leader (slim, dark skin girl w/lots of tattoos on both arms. Btw, this is not an issue, just describing her so that she doesn't try an blame someone else) asked my wife if she wanted a rice or salad bowl. My wife said rice. The employee then asked which rice, and when my wife replied “Basmati,” the employee waved her hand over the options, clearly unsure which one it was. My wife had to point it out for her. Instead of handling it professionally, the employee responded in a snappy tone, saying, “I don’t know what Basmati rice is.” Then had the audacity to try to correct her coworker about how she should present the bowls to customers so that there's no confusion which was surprising, considering she was the one who didn’t recognize a basic menu item.
That level of unfamiliarity with basic menu items, combined with a poor attitude, creates a bad customer experience. Proper training and professionalism should be a priority at this location.
