  This is the place to go for one stop shopping for all of your kosher needs - all year and especially at the holidays. It can get a bit chaotic with last minute holiday shoppers but they have a good selection of everything you could want from disposable dishes and cookware to meat, fish, veggies, cheese, sweets and treats and condiments - all certified Kosher. Of course, it is also a regular Jewel grocery store as well. There is ample parking. The staff could be a little more knowledgeable, but it's not a deal breaker. Better pricing and selection than Sarah's Tent. There is also a wide selection of Kosher wines.

  Stopped by the Jewel at Howard and Kedzie and was really impressed with the wide variety of kosher products available 👍. They have a dedicated kosher bakery along with a full deli, plus kosher meat, fish, wines, and even plenty of frozen options. It’s nice to see everything organized and easy to find. The kosher cheese selection was also surprisingly good 🧀, with multiple choices instead of just a few basics. Overall, it’s a convenient spot if you’re looking for quality kosher items all in one place. Definitely worth checking out for the selection and variety 😊

  There are so many employees you have to manuver around stockers and pallets yet only 1 or 2 cashiers checking out at a time. Today when 1 of 2 cashiers closed their line right as it was our turn to pay there was only one other cashier open and a huge line of people waiting so we put our food back and left. It is a big store and I understand it requires a lot of people stocking product but getting customers through lines quickly should be the priority. Unfortunately this experience has been consistent when we shop in the middle of a weekday. Adding one or two more cashiers during these normal business hours or having employees open up on register when needed would go a long way to improve the customer experience.

  Poor customer service and no express lane during holiday rush! I’ve been shopping at this Jewel Osco for over 32 years and actually remember when this location was built. I’m a regular customer, which is why this experience was so disappointing. With Passover approaching, the store was extremely busy. Lines were long and customers had carts overflowing, some even had two carts. Despite this, there was no express lane open for customers with a small number of items. I had one item: a bag of onions. Another employee directed me to the customer service desk to purchase it. When I politely asked the employee there, Susan, if I could check out quickly since I only had one item, she responded dismissively with “You ok?” and then told me to “get in line like everyone else.” No attempt to help. No courtesy. Just a rude and unprofessional response. For a store that has served this community for decades, you would expect better customer service, especially during a busy holiday shopping period. Management should ensure express lanes are open and staff treat customers respectfully. Very disappointing, unprofessional experience for a long time customer of 32 years.

  The store aisles and check stands are FILLED with backstock/overstock. Walking space was minimal as a result. There were 3 cashiers and no baggers, so I jumped in and bagged my own cart. No thank you from the cashier — she’s clearly burnt out and over worked. Not to mention, she started dealing with the next customer before she had even handed me my receipt. Weird how I was the most helpful and kind customer she had in that 15 minute period (yes, it took that long for 3 carts to checkout). And, how not a single person greeted me—though I was asked to “please move” four times in my 30 minute trip due to the mess of the store .
