And then they forgot my hot dog so I had to drive back. It was a slow Monday night too. No apology. No offer of anything free. Not what it used to be.

The way the sandwich was built - Previously the sausage was put in the bread first and meat was stacked high! On this occasion the sausage - which seemed smaller - was tucked in the bread first and a small amount of meat was applied over it. Previously the meat was stacked HIGH & plentiful. This seems like something has really changed.

Revolving door entrance is like a juke box selection board and the canopy above that is like a record player. Awesomely decorated inside too with a ton of vintage items and signs on display. Table tops have the 1960's boomerang design in them. Music was a little too loud, but otherwise a great experience. Will stop there again next time we're down that way. Oh yeah. The food was Portillo's GREAT too.

They got too popular too fast and the food and service shows it. I used to look forward to going to Portillo'o whenever I visit Chicago, but decline to go now. Ma and Pop places have better food and service.
