- NRNicholas Roedl1 day ago1.0This location always messes up my order. I have ordered both in person and via DoorDash for the Portillo salad with no pasta. I am disappointed to say that Elgin Portillos team always adds pasta to the salad no matter what you say and neglect to follow basic directions. This is a problem for someone that is gluten free as I can not eat the salad. Please teach your people to get orders right or risk making people very sick!

Had an argument with my girl so we got milkshakes to cool off from the drive thru.. we decided to eat inside afterall and she made me wear the bag of shame haha. Staff had a great attitude and humor and gave us hats and was super friendly made the meal 100x more enjoyable. We ended with a great nights. Thanks Portillos!

I almost always order a maxwell polish because it reminds me of the old days of Chicago in the 90's. Always order a cheese fry, and chocolate cake shake when you visit. Thanks Dick!
