A must visit when in the area. Great atmosphere, except for the "call out" speaker that was very loud. Good food, you get what you would expect, only better

First time eating a Chicago dog, wow what a combination but it works. Other than hot peppers it was delicious, even with a pickle. First time eating here also. Definitely a winner.

Bad costumer service, this guy doesn’t know how to greet customers. Just stood there staring didn’t know he was going to take our order

Funny story about rules vs common sense: I’m 54 and look above 50. Forgot my wallet today, and Portillos refused to sell me a light beber because I don’t carry my ID with me (although I offered an electronic versión), the manager mentioned is their policy. Should I understand them? Or perhaps find a place where common sense and client satisfaction (within reason) comes first? I’m Curious in your opinion.

Here is what I wrote to their manager. I thought I would go inside and get my food. I was going out of town and was in a hurry. I know I should have checked it before I left. They mess up orders constantly at this location.
I went inside to place the order since I hoped it would be a better experience than using their terrible app. However inside they have the automated kiosks so it is basically the same experience. I hate these kiosks! I chose to wait for a person and they did take my order accurately. However I forgot to check the order before I left and of course didn’t feel like going all the way back for the missing item.
This happens at least 50% of the time at this location. Maybe they don’t like me hahaha. Who knows. However what they did remember is super delicious so I have no problem with the food. I wish the staff filling orders at this restaurant and frankly every restaurant wasn’t always the dumbest person in the building. I mean that is always true, isn’t it?
“I placed an order and your stupid staff forgot something. I was in a hurry so I didn’t check it. This has happened several times before at this location. The restaurant was not busy. It was about 11:15 today when I placed the order inside. I actually thought the restaurant wasn’t closed. It was literally that empty. The person who took my order was good. The person who can’t manage to put all 4 items in a bag instead was not. She only put 3 of the items in the bag. Please teach your staff to count to four. This isn’t the first time this has happened.”
