Visited here on my weekend extravaganza and got the mini rib/link combo 13.00 and 3wings only 6.00 … the rib was as very tough and it was a bit bland sadly because all the signs were pointing in the right direction. The smell the long line and the 40 min wait made me think it was gonna be DELICIOUS… 😩 the wings were not hot and no seasoning I thought about going to sharks to get the shake from there chicken is how bad it was. I paid around 20 bucks and the portion is definitely fair I had more food than I could eat. The cashier was polite tho.

I drove all the way from Willowbrook, a 40min drive! And it was worth it 😋 I got a single piece of catfish and it was delicious! I was starving so I ate it in the car 🤣 I also ordered a small tip and 4 ribs. Both were delicious as well, however the ribs were on the skinny side which is why I gave 4 stars and not 5. The tip portion was huge! I'll definitely be back!

My first experience with Wilma's was at the Downtown location. We had a team lunch; it was 6 of us. Three had large turkey tips and three had large rib tips. Two Turkey tips and one rib tip had no sauce, but on the side. Everyone was very pleased with their order! Tips were meaty, tender, flavorful and filling! Very nice portions. I had the turkey tips with sauce on the side. I didn't use sauce at all; not even when I ate the second half the next day. The tips were smoked just right. No sauce was needed at all. I was so pleased with my food at that location, I convinced two others to try Wilma's in Dolton. We tried that location. Worst suggestion I made. The person who took our order was nice and patient. We ordered one full slab of ribs, 10 piece fried chicken, and turkey tips for me. The slab of ribs were NOT meaty. The ribs that did have a little more meat were very pully, rough, and a little burned; you couldn't even eat that part. The sauce was flavorless and nothing to be desired. The chicken wings were not seasoned well and the fries tasted plain on all others. No salt at all with the same tasteless sauce on top. The Turkey tips were NOT tips! They were thin slices of meat, no bones, no smoked taste, with undesirable sauce. What I had was not tender nor comparable to the turkey tips at the Downtown location. Our order was expensive; and we were left highly disappointed, dissatisfied, and not pleased with the food! Two stars at best!

Short version: Hotlinks are 11/10, shrimp perfectly seasoned, back will never be unbigged. Long version: BBQ places in the south suburbs have disappointed me so much in the past. Plus I’m not a big BBQ person in general. The only thing I like are hotlinks. The past few places I’ve been to had tough, dry, links and no amount of sauce could save them. I kept seeing this place on Korporate’s YT channel and finally decided to try it. Hotlinks were perfect. Very tender, good flavor and almost didn’t need any sauce. Sauce was on point. I also got the shrimp fried hard and they were perfectly battered and seasoned. My only regret is my back will not be decreasing anytime soon.

Wilma’s Famous Barbecue is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the rich, smoky aroma of perfectly slow-cooked meats that instantly makes your mouth water. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, coated in a flavorful sauce that strikes the perfect balance between sweet and tangy. The brisket is juicy and melts in your mouth, and the sides—especially the mac and cheese and baked beans—are just as impressive as the main dishes. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Whether you're a barbecue lover or just looking for a great meal, Wilma’s delivers every time. Highly recommend!
