I have been here more than once and there is nothing better than a basic breakfast dinner with a decent menu. No frills, love the hash. No rush

We came in on a Sunday for brunch after church. It wasn’t a bad breakfast, but nothing particularly memorable — and a bit pricey for what it was.
I had the Chilaquiles con Pollo, which were pretty good overall, though I would’ve liked more salsa since they were a bit on the bland side. The chicken and avocado were both extra charges, which made the meal even pricier. My boyfriend had an omelet — it was kind of dry and didn’t come with cheese, but the potatoes on the side were tasty.
The place was very quiet with hardly anyone dining in, and the atmosphere wasn’t the coziest or most inviting. Not terrible, but probably wouldn’t be my first pick next time.

The Cherry Pit Cafe, in Deerfield, IL, is an outstanding destination for breakfast or lunch, if you are looking for delicious food, a large and varied menu, and a cozy environment.Their service staff is warm and welcoming, and the restaurant is a fun step back in time with its nostalgic decor. I highly recommend it⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a pretty decent local diner. Nothing particularly special but the food is pretty good and the service is reasonable. I got a make your own omelette.
A charming and cozy spot right in the heart of Deerfield, Illinois! While visiting my sister, my wife, son, and I searched for a breakfast place and came across the Cherry Pit Café. Among all the options, it stood out not only for the appealing menu but also for the best value.
Our breakfast was excellent—generous portions with perfectly grilled potatoes, extra-crispy bacon, fresh fruit, and hot, crunchy toast. The coffee was spot-on and served with your own thermos pitcher for easy refills, which we loved.
What really made the experience special were the people. The owner, Freddy, welcomed us with such warmth, and our waiter, Matthew, had us laughing the whole time with his wonderfully dry sense of humor.
Overall, it was a delightful first visit and an experience I’d highly recommend to both tourists and North Shore locals. The Cherry Pit Café is definitely a must-try!
