  Smells like my aunt’s house so you know they’re the real deal. We got the scallops, sunset special pho, and the yugoslavian spring rolls. All delicious.

  Excellent food. I tried almost everything on the menu and never disappointed. Really big portions, pho, frog legs, grilled salmon, grilled calamari, Yugoslavian food and wine, my favorite. The owner is welcome you in the best way possible and for new customers ,shares a Rakia shot. Always a good time.

  A fusion you didn’t know you needed. Vietnamese-Jugoslavian fusion is very cool, and while the main thing is pho with some of the other half of the fusion afforded its own part of the menu, the result is a pho unafraid to handle more heat and flavor. Some pho fans may say it’s not supposed to be spicy, but having the ability to add chili-garlic and sriracha to get the heat level up has always been an option. The broth here is great, and the spicy lemongrass is a bit Thai, sure, but very well flavored. I had the sunset special and the different flavors and textures of meat permeating the broth made it such a good comforting soup. The spring rolls were also very refreshing and bright. The vibe is also fantastically retro and full of loving nods to both cultures. With the staff also running a lively, homey bar, the small space has a special communal feel. A gem in the middle of East Lakeview.

  Food was fantastic! Service was friendly, a little on the slow side though. So just be prepared for a slower pace dining experience. It was a busy evening, and the staff was doing their best to manage it with the staff that was available. The Chicken Pho, Spicy Lemongrass Pho, Egg Rolls, and Shrimp Spring rolls were all ordered. They wer all delicious. I even opted to take home the broth from the Chicken Pho, because it was so yummy. We will definitely be back.
