  I visited Soulé and had a really memorable dining experience. The atmosphere felt warm, lively, and welcoming, with a stylish setting that still kept a comforting neighborhood feel. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit feel smooth and enjoyable. I ordered a few soul food dishes and everything came out hot, flavorful, and deeply satisfying, with rich seasoning and generous portions. Each dish felt comforting and made with care. Overall, it’s a standout spot for soulful Southern-inspired food in Chicago, and I’d definitely come back again.

  Soule food was 🔥The fried catfish was crispy and seasoned perfectly, the yams were sweet, and the mac & cheese was super creamy. Drinks 🍹 was delicious. Definitely coming back!

  I stopped by this spot in Chicago on Sunday and honestly had such a lovely time 😊✨ I actually discovered it on Google Maps without realizing it’s usually reservation-only, but they were super kind and still found a way to seat us 🙏 The food felt really comforting and authentic - the fried green tomatoes tasted like something straight out of a Southern grandma’s kitchen 🍅💛 The fried fish was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender inside 🐟👌 The mac and cheese had a rich, unique blend of flavors from different cheeses 🧀🔥 And the “Down in the Delta” dish was absolutely amazing definitely a highlight! What made it even better was the service. The staff were warm and attentive, and it was nice to see the owner or manager personally checking in with guests ❤️ You could tell they have loyal regulars who love coming back here. Overall, I’d totally recommend this place and would happily visit again! 🌟

  Overrated and overly HYPED If you know anything about Pasta you can tell by this picture it wasn’t at all appetizing All grease and no creamy sauce. After a few bites I couldn’t eat anymore-it was overwhelmingly greasy. Chicken dry Mac and cheese had no flavor Greens-decent I ordered a lemonade, never received it Yet it was on the bill. Please don’t get tricked into over tipping like I was. I didn’t see they charged me 20% gratuity. When I paid it prompt for a tip and I left an additional $10 I didn’t want to ruin my husbands Birthday and complaining about the food but I would like a refund or a re-do

  I’ve been a loyal customer of Soulé, celebrating with family and always having a great experience. Today was completely different. I placed a small order at 2:55 PM (Catfish, Sweet potatoes and a salmon with shrimp) and was told 20–30 minutes. After waiting over an hour and 10 minutes, I still hadn’t received anything—not even an update. I went in multiple times trying to get answers and was even told twice that it would be another 10-15 minutes. Finally, at 4:06 PM, I received a call that my food was ready—but by then, I was completely fed up. My ticket (#28) felt completely forgotten. This isn’t about the food—I’m sure it’s still great—but the service was unacceptable. Waiting over an hour for a small order with zero communication is very disappointing.
