  The chicken wasn’t bad, I DoorDashed this, the corn was terrible. The banana pudding was good and the cornbread was good. On DoorDash you couldn’t order the Mac n cheese or the greens paid around $50 for everything. It was mediocre, I don’t believe I’d go back because the portions are small and not good, I got four small wings with the two sides and I purchased a drink as well.i only gave 3 stars because of the banana pudding, otherwise it would have been two.

  My family and I came yesterday(April 13th) for our mother's birthday and everything was great! Exceptionally prepared, perfectly presented and wonderfully delicious was every meal we ordered (five different meals in addition to a child). And, to top it off for me personally, a great old fashioned was prepared by the staff member who name escapes me. However, I'll make sure I find out on my next dining experience there! Allen H.

  Soul Vibez really lives up to their name with soulful dishes, strong delicious drinks and an engaging staff. I was in a funk before coming but left with smiles and a tipsy spirit. Lol. The blackberry sidecar had me Lifted like John Legend. Trust, I normally don't go for drinks with Dusse but exploring outside my norm exposed me to another world. The catfish and grits with the hot honey sauce is chef's kiss along with those soul rolls. I can't wait to go back whenever I'm in the Windy City.

  I am from California & I heard about this place from a friend. The last time we were in Chicago I didn’t get a chance to eat here. Well let me tell you something! This food is delicious, delectable, and reminds me of home cooking! I love the vibe, decorations & decor! I am currently in nursing school & was actually going to Indiana but since the part of Indiana we were going to was only an hour drive, we flew into Chicago just to eat!!! We were not disappointed at all. I forgot to take pictures bc the food was sooo good. I sent text to all my Cali family & friends & told them if u ever in near or coming to Chicago come here! We will surely be back. We ordered Stuffed chicken w/ greens , sweet potatoes. Catfish w/266 sauce led have mercy! Mac n cheese, lamb chops, garlic mash potatoes, soul egg rolls ❤️❤️❤️. I love supporting our black business especially when everything is 10 out of 10!

  I visited this place for the first and last time when I took my aunt here for her birthday and instantly regretted it. We walked in 5 minutes after our reservation and the host was skeptical to seat us. Once she spoke to the manager and got the okay to seat us, she finally sat us down. We then were sat and immediately received service from our server. We got our drinks very quickly, but then waited over an hour for our food. We tried to ask for an update on it, but was ignored and eventually had to speak to a manager. Then once we spoke to the manager, we waited an additional hour and still didn’t receive our food until we voiced how frustrated we were. We took our food to go because by then, we were already there for over 2 hours. The manager was very professional, along with a server that came by once they saw how frustrated we were— but our server completely abandoned our table and the host remained rude. We ordered three cocktails, an appetizer of really small wings, two catfish meals — and the total amounted to close to $300. The manager agreed to take off for the poor service we received, and charged us $150 instead and threw in a free desert that was stale. He tried his best but this place is all for the looks. The service was terrible.
