  This is my third time here! I really like the vibe – the country music and the American signs are nice. There are tons of tables for people and families, and there's a lot of symbolism and history around. I ordered the spicy chicken, but honestly, I'd much rather have the cheeseburger. If you're around looking for a not-too-expensive place with easy parking, this is a great spot! The only thing that's been a bit tricky here is the technology. I tried connecting my laptop to the Wi-Fi, but they asked for a lot of info – like my date of birth, email, phone number, and more. But in the end, it didn't work – just gave me an error. I tried it with my phone, and it was the same problem. Also when you want order with kiosk and it asks do you want register? You say yes, and it asks for your name and phone number. Then, there's a little box that says "I AGREE." If you check it, you can register. However, the touchscreen for checking the box didn't work after you entered all the information. Eventually, you have to pay as a guest.

  Everything you were told it would be, but better. A bag-soaked Italian Beef, a hot dog, and pure bliss. If you know you know and if you don't then go.

  This place was sooo good!!! Great service, clean atmosphere! I got the chili cheese dog and onion rings and it was fantastic! Highly recommend!

  Five stars. Portillos in Chicago was outstanding. The building was large, busy, and full of energy from the moment I walked in. It even had two floors and an elevator, which shows how popular this location is. The staff kept everything moving with speed and accuracy even with the constant flow of people. The Chicago dog was excellent. Fresh toppings, great flavor, and exactly what you hope for when you come to the city. The whole experience felt authentic and alive. This is the kind of place that shows you the real Chicago. I enjoyed every minute of it.

  You will be waiting for AGES for your order. AGES! It’s not even crazy busy, order was placed an hour ago and I’m still waiting to pick it up. Thought last time it was just a fluke, but it’s the modus operandi here. Unfortunate, as the food tends to be pretty good. But throw out any preconception of this being a fast food joint, as it is far from that.
