Glad to see it’s open!
I enjoyed my drink (havana banana), but for $14~ it was pretty weak, and im a lightweight. We decided not to get food and save our money for a local restaurant. Which is fine, Margaritavilles aren’t known for good food, it’s about the experience.
That being said, the experience was just OK. I was glad to be there, the bartender was friendly. But they’re really lack luster in decor, like, REALLY. So barebones. They also only played one Jimmy Buffet song over 45 mins. Variety is great, but it was more reminiscent of a 2018 club.
Your average tourist attraction with mediocre food and drinks. We had chicken strips, fries and margaritas. The margarita’s were overly sweet and tasted like a pre-mix which was disappointing since they were 15$+ per drink. The chicken strips were over done and cost 18$ for 5 small pieces and the fries were another 7$ as a side which was equivalent to a small fry. This business also likes to charge a service fee to credit card users. Shame on you as a corporation and for the prices you charge. Do better! The automatic sliding door between patio seating and restaurant didn’t even work or have a sign, they had to tell patrons to pull the heavy door open and shut.

Food was awful! We both got the fish and chips. The chips were great, the fish on the other hand was terrible. The batter on the fish was still gooey on the inside. I had 1 out of 4 pieces that was cooked ok. The rest were either uncooked inside or just so rubbery you couldn't even cut through it. Our server was nice, but 75$ for good French fries and a soft drink is just ridiculous.

We went to Margaritaville during Spring Break of March 2026 with a party of 8 of us. We had server Victor. He was amazing! He took our drink and food orders. Both came out in the appropriate amount of time. Victor made sure our drinks were never low and that we always had everything we need. Food came out perfect and just as ordered. He even remembered everything without writing it down which is extra kudos. We had a great lunch and experience. No complaints. Victor was the best server we had all Spring Break!

Visited Margaritaville on Navy Pier this afternoon (3/21/26) at around 4:30-4:40pm, and unfortunately the experience at the host stand was very frustrating.
We were told there would be a 20-minute wait for a table for two, which was completely fine. We walked around and came back about 15 minutes later, then waited near the host stand.
While we were waiting, I noticed multiple groups walk up and get seated right away. At first, I assumed they had already checked in or received a text, but that didn’t appear to be the case.
Then another group walked up, asked about the wait time, gave their name, and the hostess immediately grabbed menus and began seating them — even though we had already reached our full wait time.
When I asked about our table, she said she hadn’t had time to check the waitlist yet. That was confusing, considering she was actively seating other groups who had just walked in while we had already been waiting.
When I then pointed this out, her tone became dismissive and rude. Instead of resolving the situation, she told me that if I had a problem with it, I could go talk to her manager.
The hostess (short red hair, glasses) came across as unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile during this interaction. At one point, even another guest nearby reacted with a surprised “wow”. When the last family was seated ahead of us, the woman in that group actually looked at us and said, “I’m sorry,” which really said everything about how the situation appeared.
At that point, it honestly felt like guests were being seated arbitrarily rather than based on the waitlist, which raises the question — why are some parties being seated immediately while others who have already waited are overlooked?
That kind of experience is unacceptable from someone who is the first point of contact for guests. It made us feel ignored and unwelcome, and honestly made me question whether I’d even want to come back.
I understand restaurants get busy, but fairness, organization, and basic courtesy at the host stand should be expected. It may also be worth management providing additional customer service training to ensure guests are treated respectfully and situations like this are handled appropriately.
I hope management takes a closer look at how situations like this can be handled in the future.
