  I’m not exactly who in Jewel’s operations came up with the idea to offer digital coupons. It’s frustrating, inconvenient, and annoying. At this store, there’s typically a disconnect between the posted sale and how the item is rung up in the system. Many times, I put things back at checkout because I don’t want the hassle. Not sure why this happens several times a week… The produce section is sub par. The deliveries seem to supply less desirable items here compared to other storefronts. Hey, Jewel! Are people in wealthier areas entitled to nicer produce? No. The answer is no. Things are out of stock for weeks sometimes. For the love of god! Why?! Some folks who work here are wonderful; some clearly hate their jobs — and act like it. And, yes, the lines are frequently very long. It’s unnecessary and another inconvenience for folks who live in this neighborhood. Lastly! Grocery stores really love price gouging. Corporate greed, huh? First, it was Covid. Fine. Since Trump took office, it’s the tariffs! Even though the tariffs were ruled unconstitutional, prices never adjusted. It’s gross and unethical business practice.

  I have been going to this Jewel for 14 years, multiple times a week and in the past 3 years, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. they overcharge me. As soon as I leave the check stand I immediately have to go to customer service to get an adjustment EVERY TIME I GO and I'm not even exaggerating. They charged me $60 for a sandwich. They charged me $9 for the $3 bagel special. BOGO free? You get charged full price for both -- EVERY TIME. I have complained multiple times to CS and they just shrug their shoulders. I don't care how convenient it is, I will not shop at this location (or any other, for that matter), especially since Jewel was already found to be the most expensive grocery store in Illinois. I really wish this location would get investigated for price gouging and inaccurate/illegal scales. The only nice part about this location is the staff (especially the black male manager with glasses and long dreads--he is amazing and a kind human being). Otherwise, this location should be shut down. I would be more than happy to discuss the myriad issues I've had with this location should the "manager" read and comment on this review.

  I had mixed feelings about my visit to Jewel-Osco. On the positive side, the store is very clean, well-organized, and has a great selection of fresh produce. The bakery and deli both offer fresh, tasty options, and the alcohol section is large and well-stocked. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely frustrating when it came to actually purchasing liquor. I stopped in about 20 minutes before heading to a nearby gathering, but it took over 40 minutes just to have someone unlock the liquor cabinet. I spoke with two employees at the customer service desk and was told someone would be sent over, but I still waited an additional 25 minutes. During that time, I watched multiple customers walk away without making purchases. It’s a great store in many ways, but the lack of timely assistance made this visit a major inconvenience. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re in a hurry.

  Poor customer service. You will be lucky to receive half your order when ordering through the app for delivery, but they will charge you for everything. When you call and report it, they make no effort to make the driver bring the missing items. The app needs to allow you to pick which Jewel’s you shop from.

  Seems like store management is not great. Lines are sometimes insane and they never hire enough clerks to accommodate the volume. You can't just stop in to get one thing without it being a hassle. More importantly my last visit they were very weird about the for u coupons. I had the manager lie straight to my face about the conditions of the coupon despite me thoroughly reading over the terms and details. She simply just didn't want to honor the coupon and instead of being honest told me it's for delivery only when infact it SAYS in-store or online. Seems weird you would simply lie rather than taking two seconds to read it.. The checkout people are nice though and acknowledged that the manager was incorrect/lying to move me along so that was kind. Also the bakery here is extremely inconsistent in quality I've never seen anything like it and have been shopping at Safeway/Jewel Osco my whole life. They put out BURNT stuff on the floor all the time which puzzles me?
