Giordanos is one of my "must" stops anytime I come into Chicago. I go back home talking about how wonderful and amazing it is! Ive never been to the Jackson Blvd location. So this trip, the Jackson Blvd was closest to the bussiness we were attending to, so we chose to go here. Dissapointed is an understatement! Service was bad, and the pizza was cold and crust very hard. I had hyped up the cheesiness to my daughter because it was her first time there. The pizza was so cold that the cheese was clamped together and did not stretch at all! For sure not a Giordanos expirecience like the ones im used to.
We were visiting Chicago with several first timers so wanted to do the deep dish pizza thing. We chose this location while waiting for our time slot at Willis Tower. A huge bonus was making a reservation through their website which allows you to call in your order in advance so all of our food was ready within minutes of us being seated - this really helped with hungry kids. The pizza was fine, the crust was more dense than I thought it was be. Our server was great but she was covering a lot of tables so it was a little slow getting waters and drink refills (this was at 2pm on a weekday so not peak times). On my last visit I did Lou's, which I thought had more charm with the decor and felt more upscale, but I'd say the pizzas are comparable. We did get a thin crust cheese here for the young kids, and that was tasty.

For the last 7 years I ordered regularly from the Giordanos at 6836 N. Sheridan. I recently moved, so am now ordering from the Jackson location. When my first order from Jackson came, I noticed the food container was quite a bit smaller. I figured it must be the same amount of food just jammed into a smaller container. But last night I order meatballs with my meal, (an extra $7 for meatballs!) and it looked to me that they jammed the meatballs into the same sized container with the the rest of the food. So they need to give you LESS other food, so they can fit the meatballs. I didn't pay an extra $7 for my entree to end up with the same amount of food. So BE CAUTIOUS.

This was a cool bustling place that must be experienced at least once, even if you don't like Chicago Style pizza. You can pre-order the pizza while you wait for a table. Be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait some more for that perfect deep dish pie. We waited about 90 min for ours, even when a 60 min wait was quoted. Luckily our table was ready in about 25 min and the women's final four was playing (Let's Go, UCLA!). Tom our waiter made the wait feel a lot less time. He was outstanding and had a great sense of humor. We are not fans of deep dish and my kids did like the NYC pizza better, so next time we visit, we will try their traditional thin crust.
Disappointing.
Waited well over an hour for a 12' thin crust pepperoni pizza.
Unfortunately it wasn't worth the price, nor the time.
Pizza arrived barely warm and, frankly, it did not taste better than any frozen pizza from the super market.
Servers were lost, bringing wrong orders to different tables and behind on every order. No one came to apologize or give explanations.
One of the worst operations I've seen in a while.
I hate to write a review like this, but eating out is already terribly expensive, if we customers don't call things out, then who will?
I do not recommend.
