    Thanks to Q. He explained the menu very well. Even though I did not like not beeing flexible for substitutions. Don't have brisket as one of there meats for a combination or meal, can only get it as a sandwich. As far as the Quality of the barbecue Chicken 8, rib tips 8.5, beans 9.5, greens 9. Quanity of main coarse 9, sides 9, except Cole slaw Itty bitty 4. Overall I would give your place a 4.5 out of a 5. Which would be an increase from your average. Take a little pride in cleanliness and being more flexable on dinner choices and I would give your place a 4.9.

    Escalator broken, so customers must walk upstairs. On a weekend noon, almost completely empty. I ordered pickup on Uber Eats and arrived a few minutes after the suggested ready time. A man with ‘security’ printed on the back of his jacket told me the order was not ready in an extremely rude tone. I asked how long it would take and showed him the screenshot that Uber suggested it’s been ready for a while. He got upset for no reason and said ‘do you want your order or not? Cancel it if you want’. When the order was ready a few minutes later, this man just waved to me without saying a word, pointing to my order. Fine, I’ll take it and be on my way then. When I picked up my order, he again very rudely said ‘what are you doing man, you got to confirm your order on Uber Eats first. Otherwise you can’t take it.’ Never heard of that before. Keep in mind I’ve already showed him my Uber Eats confirmation. While delays to orders can happen, this level of rudeness in the service industry is still shocking to me. Food portions are ridiculously small for the price. $10 Mac and cheese in a very small plastic container and $8 for 2 tiny pieces of cornbread. Ribs are expensive and decent.

    Januray 2nd was my first time at Wilma's. The atmosphere was great, my sever name was Brandon. Great customer service, delicious food, friendly, attended to the customer. He kept coming to the table checkilg on my need. So, I decided to go back within 5 days. Big mistake. I got this female sever who was not friendly at all. Never introduce herself. Her first words were are you ready to order. I had to ask for water, fork and napkins. She brought my food and I never saw her again until it was time to pay. I had to ask others for sauce, lemon and a go container. When I left I said to myself I'll never go back or tell my friends to come here. Very bad experience! Also on my second trip I had the wings and tips. My tips were very dry, burns and over sauce. No more tips for me.

    I placed an online order for pickup at Wilma’s BBQ and was told it would be ready by 9:00 PM. I arrived on time, but my order, along with several others, was not ready. When I asked the front host for an estimated wait time, she responded with a rude attitude and stated she could not provide an ETA. I continued to wait, and after 15 minutes, my order was still not ready. When I asked again, I was told there was only one order ahead of mine; however, two other orders were brought out before mine. After another 15-minute wait, I asked to speak with a manager, but no manager ever came out. As my frustration grew due to the lack of communication and extended wait time, the security guard on duty became confrontational and threatening instead of de-escalating the situation. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The wait time for online orders is much longer than stated, and there is little to no communication with customers beyond being told to “wait” with no clear estimate. Better communication, improved order management, and more professional customer service are needed.

    I actually visited Wilma's at the Chicago location back on October 18, 2025; my review is better late than never. However, I was intentional about saving my receipt so that I could write a review. My friend and I visited Chi-town for the weekend and Wilma's was highly recommended. Food was blazing! The server BRANDON elevated my experience! Brandon is the reason that I saved my receipt. He was patient, quickly resolved one our issues and more importantly for me, demonstrated the ability "to Serve Safe". I actually have a SERVE SAFE certificate and quickly noticed. Brandon was very cautious when handling our food. Kudos to Brandon and the Wilma's establishment ! Thank you! See ya soon.
