  My Son and daughter in love took myself and her mom and let me tell you, a time was definitely had. The fried green tomatoes and the collard green dip was amazing. The fish, ribs and lamb chops was awesome. Everything we had was 10/10. I can't wait to come back to Chicago to go again.

  Chef Royce and the team at Soul Prime really know how to go above and beyond. I placed a last minute catering order for a funeral on Christmas Eve and Chef Royce and team really came through. This is the kind of soul food that will leave your mouth watering and your fridge full for days. Chef blends classic soul food dishes with modern spice palate leaving your taste buds wanting more. We ordered the Mac N Cheese, Greens, Spiced Honey Bourbon Chicken, Cornbread Muffins, Catfish, and Caesar salad. Every bite was delectable. The Chicken and Catfish were fried and seasoned to perfection. The Mac N Cheese had the perfect cheesy blend. And the cornbread muffins with baked in butter and honey were to die for. We had rave reviews from our entire group of ~40. Not to mention, the presentation was gorgeous. When I picked up the order I also got the opportunity to try the chicken street tacos fresh from the grill. They were outstanding. The spirit, compassion and excellence of Chef Royce radiates through the entire team. I have never had more excellent service. I am a permanent fan and convert and will be dragging every person I know to this restaurant time and time again.

  Chef everything was great from the time we entered the doors! Food was absolutely delicious and our Server/ Karen was so attentative... Overall Excellent Service!!!

  My first visit to Soul Prime was wonderful. It was a great vibe surrounded by good food, polite and friendly staff, efficient service, and perfect music to set the right energy. My server Karen was phenomenal. She made great recommendations, was attentive, and answered all questions with ease. The food and drinks were perfection, especially the Mac and Cheese and Fried Green Tomatoes. Highly recommend!
