  Some of the best food I had in awhile. I ordered the 290 which came with fried catfish and wings, fried to perfection and the right amount of seasoning. The hot sauce was an absolute plus with it as well. My starter was the fried green tomatoes. They were crunchy and the sauce that came on it was delicious, not to mention the hot sauce they make is a hit. I also ordered the red beans and rice. The first spoonful sent me back in time from all the flavors it was given. The Mac & cheese didn’t have no control at all. Just cheesy and pack with all the right combinations of cheese. I loved it all. The house margarita was a hit as well. I had to have a couple of those. But I recommend this place to anyone if you want to seat down in a nice atmosphere and enjoy some of the best food you can ever eat. Thank you for your service and I will be back

  The food, service and atmosphere at Soul Prime are unmatched. My sister, neice and I felt welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. Chef Royce personally greeted us and the entire wait staff was attentive and kind. The experience was unlike any I have had in a very long time. Now to the food....WOOOOW! Everything we had from the brunch menu was amazing. I mean everything. I highly recommend the breakfast plate, wings, green tomatoes, nachos and the peach waffle. To be honest, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Please stop by and see for yourself! I promise you will feel like you are dining among family and friends. The drinks are fire, too. And the playlist...top tier! Shot out to Chef Royce for sitting with us and accepting our hugs because, yes, it was that good!!!

  I JUST LEFT THIS PLACE SOUL PRIME MADE RESERVATIONS AND WE WAS TOLD THAT WE HAD TO WAIT AN HOUR WHICH IS CRAZY WHEN WE HAD ALREADY MADE RESERVATIONS THEN WE FINALLY GET SEATED AND THE CHEF WAS UNPROFESSIONAL AND BEING WEIRD SO THE BEST AND MATURD THING TO DO WAS LEAVE AND WE DECIDED TO CHECK OUT CHEMISTRY AND ITS REALLY NICE HERE AND THE SERVICE RIGHT NOW IS 10 OUT OF 10 VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DIDNT HAVE TO WAITLONG OR GO BACK AND FORTH WITH THE CHEF

  Soul Prime was featured on the news and recommended for Black Restaurant week we decided to come to soul Prime which is one best dining decisions I have made in a while. From the moment we were greeted the experience was nothing less than amazing ,the food the wait staff and especially the chef who prepared our meal which was season to perfection. I had the catfish , spaghetti and sweet potatoes overall the experience was memorable and I will definitely be back.

  1st be prepared to wait a bit. However, while you wait, enjoy the delicious drinks, the good music, the warm atmosphere, and you might even catch a glimpse of the most fabulous chef walking around talking to her patrons. As a Black woman living on the north side of Chicago in a predominantly white area Soul Prime felt comfortable and like home. It was nice to enjoy a delicious meal and see so many Black and brown faces in one spot, especially in Lincoln Park. My wife and I took my mom here for her birthday yesterday and we all loved it. We got to speak with Chef Royce and what a joy. This is someone who does what she does for the love of it and for the love of people. We didn’t speak long but I could feel that joy and purpose coming from her.
