- AGAngel GNov 14, 20251.0To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my concerns regarding the customer service my fiancé and I experienced today at your Mayfair/Jefferson Park location. We have lived in this area for five years and have visited this restaurant many times, but the service we encountered today was extremely disappointing. When my fiancé attempted to order a single burger, the cashier responded in a hostile tone, asking, “What kind of single do you want?” He felt uncomfortable and stepped away from the counter. I approached the counter to clarify the order and asked how a customer is expected to proceed if they do not understand the menu item. Instead of assisting, an employee working near the grill stated, “I don’t have time for this today,” which I found very unprofessional. Both employees involved—the cashier and the staff member at the grill—were dismissive and disrespectful. At one point, we were even told to go to another Smashburger location if we wanted food. This level of service is unacceptable, and it does not reflect the standards I expect from your brand. The customer service at this location has noticeably declined, and I believe the current management should be made aware of these issues so appropriate steps can be taken. I don't know what is going wrong there but the place always seems to be either chaotic trying to get orders out or there are no customers and it looks like it is shut down for cleaning with no one minding the cashier posts. I see who I think are the owners trying but they are struggling. It's been like that for years. You guys need to get some consultants or something. Whatever you are doing isn't working (unless the place is making you a ton of money or something then, hey, I guess it's working). Sometimes people get stuck in patterns and need help getting out of them. You need to bring in a professional manager. There really aren't many decent fast food places in that area. Get your stuff together and it should pay off.
