The menu is confusing, this is definitely not a good place for a good time visitor as there is no server to guide or take your order.
Not sure if come back here.

The flavor of every dish is absolutely incredible. Waiter was good about refilling water. I enjoy ordering and paying via my phone as it gives me more control of my own time. The waiter packed up all of our leftovers for us when we were done. easy 5 stars

I ordered from Damao many times, even the one in Chinatown before they changed to catering only. Well over 20 times.
Food is one of a kind for chicago. Not many places where you will find Chengdu food. I mostly get the Hotpot with veggies / meats.
Food can be very inconsistent. For the most part (75-80%) it is good. But sometimes when I order the same items as I did last week, the taste is off. Sometimes, it is not salty enough and very bland and I can only taste the oil. There was 2 times where there was so much pepper corn in the soup, I was literally eating pepper corns with a side of vegetables.
Nonetheless, still a fan of this place. I hope they improve the consistency of their food. When and if they do, this review will change to 5 stars.
