Portillo’s is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. The restaurant is in good condition. Manager George and Fonzo is very nice. Amazing chopped salad. Must come back. 10/10. Great service

Officially, a LEAN #ItalianBeef as it shrinks less when cooked.
NOT my kind of beef as I like marbling, ribeye etc.
The original family Receipe is officially G.O.N.E.
They do have more promotions now than before like FREE chocolate cake but, I don't care for it as it is too sweet for my taste.
I like to support #Local #Chicago #Family-Owned restaurants so, hasta la bye bye #Portillos.

Třhe drive thru.
I’ve now experienced this at two different Portillo’s locations — one off a highway in the suburbs and this one — and I’m disappointed to say the beef sandwiches have noticeably less meat than in previous years.
It’s still good, tbut the ratio is completely off. There’s a large amount of bread and roughly half the beef I used to get. At first I thought maybe it was a one-time issue, but after seeing it six(6) times and experiencing the lack of beef at two at two locations, it’s more like a change in business model rather than an isolated mistake.
Portillo’s was always known for generous portions and that signature, overstuffed Italian beef. If this is the new standard, it’s a big step down from what made the brand special. And in the city, I have many great beef sandwich choices!

Loved this place. The staff, the ambiance, the vibe, and oh the food. Best Chicago hot dog we had during our trip. Even the fries were great. Definitely worth a visit. Much better prices than some of the other hot dog joints we went to and the food was even better here.

From the outside this place looks like a tourist trap.
It kind of is, but the inside has cool antique decorations and the food is a lot better (and cheaper) than expected.
We got some of the Chicago dogs, which were great, and the chocolate cake shake, which was quite delicious.
Overall, a great place for a quick meal.
