Zero stars. At 1951 N Western Avenue, Chicago, my car was booted within 2–5 minutes of parking by a private security guard (Badge #1650) from Innovative Parking Solutions. There was no warning, notice, or communication, and the property manager was dismissive when I tried to resolve it. This aggressive and predatory enforcement is completely unacceptable and makes visiting McDonald’s stressful and unwelcoming. Corporate should step in immediately to prevent this from happening to other customers. This security vendor has terrible practices, and this location’s property management allows it to happen.

I stop by this McDonald’s to grab a quick meal with my girlfriend and walk her to the nearby office since it’s literally right next door on the same block. I thought I could walk her to the front and come right back, but I was wrong.
It seems like this McDonald’s allows a very predatory parking enforcement setup, which they are likely aware of. After dropping off my girlfriend at the office and turning right back, I saw a guy immediately boot my car and say, “I saw you leave.” I wasn’t even gone for a minute.
Just like another person who posted a photo of him, it was the same individual. They charge $170 to remove the boot, and what’s ridiculous is that one person puts the boot on while a different person comes to remove it. Based on my experience, the whole situation feels like a scam, specifically a two‑person predatory parking operation. On top of that, the phone number provided doesn’t even work, it just keeps ringing. Overall, this parking situation feels very intentional and predatory.
Was the McDonald’s food good, yes. I think this parking thing left a really sour taste in my mouth which is why it’s a one star. I mean considering the office was right next door, it wasn’t even a minute and I got booted? Very predatory
EDIT: for those of you who got the ticket, I’d double check the time the wrote down as well. Mr. Manuel Nevarez wrote down I arrived at 11:37, which is false. I was back in the lot within a 1/2 mins. I have evidence via call log and text message. It is predatory parking that’s happening in this McDonald’s.

!!! Predatory parking scam partnering at this McDonald's location. On 12/5/25, my car was booted within minutes of my friend stepping off the lot to help me grab my luggage from the train station next door — we were literally about to order food here. The booting employee refused to remove the boot even after we explained this. He demanded $170 and threatened to tow the car if I didn’t pay immediately.
Signage is extremely small and unreasonable for a fast-food parking lot. The booting employee also required my driver’s license and wrote down my personal information, which felt unsafe and unnecessary.
Based on the many similar Google reviews, this appears to be a coordinated predatory practice at this location. Be extremely cautious parking here.
