  I visited this Jewel-Osco location today and honestly, the experience was frustrating overall. I do want to start by saying the employee working the self-checkout area was great — professional, calm, and doing the best they could in a tough situation. They deserve credit. That said, the store itself felt very poorly operated. There was little to no staff available, and it showed. All of the self-checkout machines were constantly going off, needing assistance, and there just weren’t enough employees to manage it efficiently. To make things worse, there were no bags available at checkout. Because of that, items were literally falling onto the floor while people were trying to scan and pay. It felt unorganized and chaotic. It almost seems like the lack of bags is intentional so customers are forced to pay extra for them, which just adds to the frustration. Another customer near me said he had been waiting about 15 minutes just to purchase two items. That shouldn’t happen in a grocery store. This location really needs a better organization and staffing strategy. The employee at self-checkout was doing their best, but management needs to set them up for success. The current system isn’t working.

  worst jewel ever. never any cashiers or baggers lines so long in the self checkout it's a joke. and self checkout has no bags. plus high prices

  Electronic coupons are a pain. Most of the employees here are nice. The store is full of signs for sales with half the stuff on sale with some catch about the exact quantity needed to qualify. Annoying shopping experience for me.

  Terrible service and smells like weed and wet market! Jewel Osco seems to be at the bottomest pit of Albertson-brand supermarkets. This isn’t what you expect if you shop at Pavilion, Albertson’s, and even Vons in California. Really gross.

  The self check out experience is just getting worse. Why do you have one employee with holding the bags?? Than they are expected to do 21+, clear cash registers and hand out bags per customer? This make no sense it’s slows everything down, everyone gets frustrated. I highly doubt you are saving money on bags by doing this.. I would not shop here but I am an online shopper and have no choice but to visit this bad production of a store. This store is definitely not a four star store I have been completing surveys every where possible. No one ever calls back, the auto response with contact us button is load of doo-doo. The store Manager Bob does not care. I spoke to that person on numerous occasions and he just seems bothered when you try and speak to him… this bag stuff is ridiculous. Wish I could give it no stars
