When I went to the customer service counter a few days later to explain what happened, the employee called another staff member over. That staff member told me that since the coupons were from the previous day’s ad, they didn’t know what the prices should have been. She then said I should have addressed it at the time and seemed visibly bothered by my presence. She also said she didn’t know what I expected them to do and proceeded to pretend to call her boss, only to tell me that there was nothing they could do. This situation could have been handled easily by reviewing the ad, checking my receipt, or offering a refund or store credit. Instead, I was dismissed and made to feel like I was the problem. I will absolutely be avoiding this store in the future and would not recommend it to anyone looking for basic customer service or accountability.
