Very nasty and horrible. Food quality POOR! I received my pizza from Uber Eats, my seal was already broken and torn. I contacted the manager at this location name LEXI! She was very rude and unapologetic and didn’t handle me in a professional manner. Didn’t provide a solution at all, although the seal was broken. MY PIZZA WAS VERY STALE AND BURNT.

HRI is not consistent with the pizza taste no more. I was introduced to HRI 40 years ago. 31st HRI I stopped going do to pizza taste changed. Last week I decided to give HRI another chance. The pizza was delicious, maybe it was the early part of the day. I couldn't wait to order another pizza it was so good. So yesterday,I ordered 2 Individual well done pizzas. Both pizza was not well done..u could see the dough and taste the dough from the flimsy crust. Sausage were tasting undercook. Not the same 31st original..hit or miss now

This used to be my favorite restaurant for the best Chicago thin pizza. This last experience was HORRIBLE. Staff is blatantly racist. We were the only white family there. We were first there and to order, but the last to get our food. Twelve (12) families got their food before us. Management needs to take action!

My family and I live near this HRI and we went in last night for pizza. There was 1 table with 2 women who were just finishing their meal. We were seated, our order for an extra large sausage and mushroom pizza was taken, and then we waited. And waited. Others patrons came in and were seated. We waited for almost an hour, without complaint, until we noticed other tables receiving their pizzas before us. In fact, 10 other tables received their pizzas before us before I approached the manager. I was told our pizza would be another 6 minutes due to the mushrooms. Then we were told the pizza was "too light," so they put the pizza back in. Then we were told it would be another 6 minutes. At this point, 12 other tables, who came in after us, had received their pizzas. Upon questioning, we were told that some of the pizzas were pre-orders. The attitude of the manager was one of irritation, at us, for asking the status of our pizza. She eventually came over and said we would "be taken of." When we asked what that meant, she sighed and literally stormed off, never to come back. Our server later told us that we would receive half off the pizza. This visit was a total disappointment. Pizza was delicious, as always, but the lack of respect and service is pathetic. As of 12/30/2025, I see HRI responded to my post of the terrible experience we had at the flagship location at 31st street. HRI tells me to reach out, yet provides no information on how to contact their customer support. How serious is HRI in resolving the lack of professionalism and lack of respect? It's a shame. We have been going to this HRI location for over 50 years. So much for loyalty.
