The deep dish pizza is what they should stick to. Had the new tavern style pizza and was not impressed at all. The crust was burnt around the edges but wasn't fully cooked in the middle. Got a cheese and sausage pizza but there were about 10 pieces of sausage on a large pizza. I've had frozen pizzas that were better.

I visited Giordano’s on November 13 and ordered their 10” stuffed deep-dish pizza, the Meat and More Meat. The experience was cozy, warm, and inviting. The pizza was absolutely delicious—packed with flavor and perfectly cheesy. The friendly staff made the visit even better, providing excellent service throughout the meal. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Giordano’s and would happily recommend it to anyone craving classic Chicago-style deep dish pizza. I would rate my visit 4 out of 5 stars.

Ordered the tavern pizza for take out and it was over cooked, almost burnt. Very dry and very disappointing. I have eaten here many times over the last 2 decades.

HI.
A very famous Chicago style deep-dish pizza restaurant. The pizza here is super filling, so one dish is usually enough for two people. Service can sometimes feel slow because the deep dish takes time to bake, but this is normal and expected. The place is clean, the vibe is cozy, and the cheese amount is huge. I recommend this place to tourists or anyone who wants to try real Chicago-style pizza.

OK, so this is my second time here in Chicago but my very first time actually getting to partake in what the city has to offer!! My first stop was Giordano‘s.. Now I will say that walking in, the customer service was great. The lady was very nice. she was knowledgeable and approachable.. clarifying things that I was confused on. I ordered the chicken caprese melt and garlic parm fries along with the lunch special deep dish and a sad salad. You can get your choice of any side, but I chose a house salad. That pepperoni deep dish pizza I will say hands-down, best pizza I ever tasted!! their sauce is unmatched !! like I love how savory it is… it taste fresh, the crust that’s on the deep dish is crispy. It’s buttery. It’s fluffy where it needs to be like overall it’s just a really good crust. They have a really amazing flavor even the cheese that they use… cheesy ooey gooeyness ! you’ll see in the video. I did get my food to go. The deep dish, hands-down, I have nothing bad to say about it. The Caprese melt, not a fan favorite. What I think would make it better is putting warm tomatoes on the sandwich ! When I got my sandwich, it was cold, so that was an auto turn off because I feel like my sandwich should be made at the same time that my pizza is made or maybe a little later because my melt should just be hot. It’s called a Caprese melt. The cheese is melted and the chicken look like it melted the cheese, but my bread was cold, the tomatoes that they put on there were cold and the lettuce was soggy. I just was not impressed. I think a way that they could level up the sandwich is by pressing or toasting or backing the sandwich.. maybe instead of using Roma tomatoes using sun-dried tomatoes or roasting the Roma tomatoes. That way the sandwich would have some sort of a smoky flavor or maybe adding a creamy zesty horseradish sauce to accompany the sandwich because as it is, I feel like they used the prepared grilled chicken strips meat from Publix like the chicken doesn’t even have grill marks. I didn’t taste any gristle there was no fat so it’s a like they brought pre-slice pre-cooked chicken. I also ordered the garlic Parmesan fries. They were amazing like even room temperature. They were still crispy. The flavor on. It was really good. The level of saltiness was really good. It was a really good french fry. It’s just that chicken sandwich.
