I went to Giordano's in Chicago craving the city’s famous deep-dish, and honestly, it delivered exactly what I wanted — rich, cheesy, unapologetically over-the-top pizza that feels like a proper comfort meal. From the moment you sit down and the waiter talks you through that signature stuffed pizza (crust on the bottom and top, loaded with cheese, sauce, and toppings), you know you’re in for something hearty.
The crust is buttery and thick, the cheese stretches in impossibly long strings, and the tangy tomato sauce sits on top like it’s proudly defying gravity. It’s not the kind of pizza you scarf — it’s the kind you tackle with a fork and knife, slow-down bites that feel almost celebratory. The pace of the meal is part of the fun, especially if you’re there with friends or family digging into slices together.
Service was friendly and patient even when it got busy (which it usually does), and the whole place has that classic Chicago pizza joint energy — lively, a little crowded, and full of people on vacation or locals convincing their out-of-town guests that yes, this is what Chicago pizza is all about. It’s not light, it’s not subtle, but if you’re into deep-dish that’s cheesy and indulgent in the best way, Giordano’s feels like a rite of passage rather than just a meal.
im not lying, this was literally the WORST pizza ive EVER had and its not even close. ive been to Chicago 100s of times, but never have tried Gios, and i know its a chain, but supped to be a Chicago staple of food, i ordered it my last day of a trip on Sunday thinking oh, ill take it home and enjoy it, i live a few hrs away. my girlfriend and I are foodies, and this dough literally had ZERO type of spice/flavor/garlic/ANYTHING . it was like a regular white peice of dough and the toppings weren’t it either. i ordered a 20$ Margarita pizza, and it was atrocious!!! pic for reference. i would rather eat a Tombstone frozen 20/10 times that try to eat this adult Lunchable!!! so sad
Disappointing experience with a large corporate catering order. - Order was placed online and arrived on time as expected. Unfortunately a few items were missing.
I called and spoke with a manager who apologized and was going to adjust the order for the missing items. I assumed this was done, and had moved on. I understand that mistakes happen.
Fast forward to today... I received a text that my order was on the way to be delivered. I called and spent a half hour on the phone trying to ensure there wasn't some duplicate order on the way to my office. apparently they're having some phone issues and you can barely hear anything they're saying. After having them repeat themselves multiple times, I was assured the notification of today's delivery was a glitch in the system. However, while I was waiting for them to confirm, I checked the order and the original charge from earlier in the week, and no adjustment have been made for the missing items.
Between missing items from the order and having to call the first time and being told that an adjustment would be made, and wasn't. And then today having to waste nearly an hour now on my Saturday afternoon to address this, I will likely not be ordering from here again for any future corporate events.
Worst part is that it's still not resolved. I'm waiting for someone to research and get back to me.

We had an amazing dinner on our first night in Chicago while traveling for business. The food was excellent and the overall dining experience ended up being great.
Our first impression wasn’t the best. The person who took our name at the door made no eye contact and wasn’t friendly, and the host who seated us was only slightly more engaged.
However, our server Faith completely changed the experience. She was fantastic—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming every time she came to the table. Even on a very busy night, she checked on us multiple times and made sure everything was perfect.
Because of Faith, this is a five-star review. She truly made up for the initial lack of hospitality and delivered an outstanding dining experience.
