No trip to Chicago is complete without stopping for some pizza, and since Giordano’s was nearby, we braved the Sunday afternoon crowd for a bite. We prefer thin crust, and after about a 25-minute wait for a table and another 25 minutes for our pepperoni pizza, we were ready to dig in.
Service was spot-on. Our server kept us refreshed and informed throughout the wait. Once the pizza arrived, it was worth it — the crust edges had a great crackle while the center stayed tender on the palate. The tomato sauce and cheese were perfectly balanced, and the pepperoni was plentiful. We ordered the 16-inch for the four of us, polished off about three-quarters of it, and were completely stuffed… they even sell a shirt for that!
A cool bonus: you can have their pizza shipped to your home to share with family — something we’ll definitely be doing soon.
Hey, when you’re in Chicago, pizza, hot dogs, and Italian beef have to be on the list. Giordano’s has several locations, so it’s easy to find one nearby.
The only drawback was getting through the crowd — we had one person on oxygen, so it took a little extra effort. The place is loud and festive, but still comfortable enough to hold a normal conversation.
Overall, a great Chicago pizza experience!

I went to Giordano’s for the food and experience, but if you’re coming here to actually enjoy your meal, be prepared for a major disappointment. Certain staff members made this visit uncomfortable and downright disrespectful.
Our server, LESTER, completely messed up our order. We asked for a 10” Deep Dish and a 16” Chicago Tavern, but received the opposite. Instead of listening or correcting the mistake, he became defensive and insisted we were wrong. The situation only got worse when he and another Sri Lankan staff member started making fun of it in the corner.
When we asked the Sri Lankan staff member for Lester’s name, he mockingly gave us a fake name, “Aman,” which was clearly another racist attempt. That behavior was beyond unprofessional and unacceptable.
The food was good, but the service destroyed the experience. No one should have to deal with this kind of disrespect or prejudice while dining out. Would absolutely not recommend this location to anyone expecting basic decency and respect.

I was by myself, got seated, and 10 min went by with no acknowledgement. I had to ask one of the waitresses if they could get my waitress as I hadn't been helped yet. The waitress came, no apology, and not very friendly, and took my order. I got the personal deep dish and 20 min went by before the waitress ever came over to check and see if I needed a refill or anything else. When she did come and check and saw that I needed a refill it took her another 5-10 min to bring it to me( it was water). Within that time I asked the wait staff (another waitress as mine hadn't been by in a while) if I could move as they sat me next to the door to the covered patio. I didn't think the table location would be an issue when they first seated me but every time the door opened a gust of wind came with it and it was cold. Since I had already ordered the person I asked said she would ask my waitress. The waitress never came over and offered any sort of solution like moving to a diff table. The food was ok but not worth the service I experienced. I don't live here but if I come back I will not be visiting this place again.
Our group of friends and I were visiting from NJ and recently had the pleasure of dining at Giordano's Pizza in Chicago for the first time, and it was an experience! The deep-dish pizza was simply delicious—rich, cheesy, and perfectly baked. Every bite was a reminder of why this place is considered one of Chicago's best pizza spots. Come with time since deep dish takes about 50 minutes , but we'll worth it. My favorite was the Margarita and also got to try Pepperoni with sausage.
The staff was friendly. To top off our meal, we indulged in the tiramisu, which was absolutely divine. It was the perfect way to end our meal!
I can't wait to return to Chicago, and Giordano's will definitely be at the top of my list. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true taste of Chicago!
