We stopped in this location for lunch. What a mistake. The personal pizza special was terrible. I've been a lifelong fan of Giordano's growing up on the Southside. The deep dish pizza here was a poor representation of a true authentic deep dish I grew up on. The crust tasted like saltine crackers and the sauce was watery and plain. The server was short and rude. No type of interaction. What a poor representation to tourist visiting the great city of Chicago.

Didn’t even take pics of the food because it was that gross. For a chain restaurant you’d think their food would be edible lmao. The pizza wasn’t very good, the flavor is just so off. Then I got the fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli & I thought they’d grated foot cheese & boiled it in dog water because holy cow it was gross! It’s an expensive place for disgusting food. Not even the wine was good, tasted like straight up rubbing alcohol. I promise there are better pizza spots in Chicago!

I visited Giordano’s in Chicago and had a great experience overall. We ordered the Margherita pizza and the Veggie pizza. The Margherita was easily a 5 out of 5. The crust was perfectly baked, the cheese was rich and flavorful, and the sauce had an amazing balance of freshness and depth. Every bite was satisfying and it really delivered on the classic Chicago deep dish experience. The Veggie pizza was decent, but not as strong as the Margherita. I would rate it a 2.75 out of 5. The vegetables tasted fresh and the portion size was generous, but the overall flavor did not stand out as much. It was still enjoyable, just not something I would personally order again compared to their other options. What really made this visit stand out was the customer service. They welcomed us in about 30 minutes before closing and did not rush us at all. They allowed us to sit comfortably and finish our meal even after closing time, which was greatly appreciated. That level of hospitality made the experience feel welcoming and memorable. Overall, between the incredible Margherita pizza and the outstanding service, I would still rate Giordano’s a full 5 out of 5. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Chicago and looking for an authentic deep dish pizza experience.

This is a 0 star review. I had a great experiences in Chicago and a few were not so good or average. Giordano's was easily the WORST. I'm from Arizona and I wanted to try the oh so famous deep dish pizza before leaving the next day. While I was near the John Hancock Tower I searched "deep dish pizza restaurants near me" and Giordano's came up so I walked there. Since I had NO IDEA what to order, I asked the waiter for recommendations. Even when the restaurant was empty he clearly didn't feel like helping and seemed annoyed by the question and after some back and forth , I ordered a personal-size pizza since it was just me. He told me it would take 30 min, which I considered fine because I told myself "it will be worth it". But when the pizza came up, I just couldn't believe it 😳. It was really tiny - basically the size of my hand or even smaller - with barely any topping and the most average flavour. Then the check came: $28 for that and the audacity to ask for tips!! Later after reading reviews here I found out they charge around $1.50 for every topping that can increase the price of a small $12 pizza to $23, but they don't care to explain this when you order because how dare you to eat at their restaurant 🙄 Between the terrible service and the overpriced not so special average pizzas this place completely ruined my deep dish pizza experience and I'm giving 1 star because there's no other option, but this is more like a 0 star experience.
