Been here many times. Has been much better. This time the order taker offered only a blank stare as a greeting. The order maker forgot to notice I ordered a bagel, and instead gave me a hockey puck.

I... I don't even know where to begin. I just left this location to pick up my mobile pick up order. I got there a few minutes before close. I asked for my order, they gave it to me, then I asked for a bag with a handle and the African-American man behind the counter at first was nice at first and explained that the only bags that they have with a handle are extremely large so I respectfully declined.
I asked him if I could also please use the bathroom and asked if I needed a code. He just stood there and squinted at me (I failed to mention, when I said my name multiple times- it's long and Nigerian) he also had a delayed response and instead just was squinting at me. He finally walks over to the bathroom, after asking me what I said multiple times and unlocks it for me and I said thank you.
This is where it just immediately turned weird and disrespectful. Almost AS SOON, as I left the bathroom (that I was in for less than 2 minutes), I walked out (it's now 2pm when they close) and went to look for more napkins to take with me on my leave. Mind you, i'm someone who walks fast, talks fast, I don't dally. I didn't see any near the door I was closest to, so I looked across the room and started walking towards the napkins in the other side. I didn't even get two steps in before the African-American man behind the counter all of a sudden was extremely aggressive. He said that I had to exit the store. I was confused and asked him again "pardon?" and he more aggressively told me that I had to leave.
I put my hands up and told him I understand I was already on my way out I was just looking for napkins. Then this little 5'1 thin Caucasian young girl named "Sarah" also comes from my other side, starts being aggressive as well and while scowling and trying to look intimidating is telling me that I had to leave. She literally sounded like the "young need to leave!" meme that is going around. She said this repeatedly and her face was getting red. They treated me like a criminal.
Then the manager comes out and asks what happened. While I'm speaking to her the African-American man keeps yelling and saying how what I was saying wasn't true and just being extremely childish, rude and unprofessional. At this point, I'm upset because clearly I will be defensive when I'm being attacked by multiple ppl for absolutely no reason. I was very polite and smiley when I came in, I didn't understand this switch right when I left the bathroom. I understand it's 2pm and they wanted to go home as quickly as possible but this behavior is customers is completely unacceptable.
It got to the point where I had to ask the man to stop talking loudly in the back and exacerbating the situation when I was trying to talk to his female manager.
The manager was apologetic and looked shocked that the employees did this, all the while both culprit, lying employees were shaking their hands as if what I was saying wasn't fact.
There were two other ppl Caucasian older casually chatting in the restaurant and I asked when they weren't asking these ppl to leave rudely and if they worked there. The cultprits said "yes, they work here" smugly. So even worse, clearly you have members of corporate potentially here and this is how you loudly and inappropriately behave in front of them? Where is the structure and leadership at this restaurant?
I'm sitting here writing this, crunch for time and I don't even have an appetite anymore. I feel very uncomfortable. I'm a young blk woman who was there alone and I can't help but think that that was why I was treated like that, and I am very shaken.
Pro tip- If you are so miserable at your job to the point you're cussing everyone out as soon as it's closing time to get out then maybe you should quit; and find a job you love so you don't inflict your misery onto otherwise happy unsuspecting customers. I feel as though every time I try to go to Einstein's here in my neighborhood I get horrendous service which is why I go once every 2 years. I tried to give them a chance today and what started off well ended terribly.
