    I ordered from Al Safa for a big student event and it was an absolute hit. When I say there was truly nothing left, I mean people were scraping hummus out of the bottom of the pan because it was THAT good. Rave reviews from everyone involved

    Best Mediterranean food Ive ever had. The lentil soup is so rich and creamy. Get the Zurbian chicken, I almost cried it was so good.

    First time I’ve ever had a chicken schwarma and it was delicious! Also had a non alcoholic pomegranate malt and it was also delicious. We were greeted and immediately seated upon arrival. The server checked on us several times. He was very kind and accommodating. Great prices! Must try.

    They took a little time to bring out our order, but it was worth it. Their Zurbian Lamb Mandi is one of the best I’ve had in the Chicago area. Excellent service, very reasonable prices, and a decent ambience. I’d go just for the food!

    We decided to try this place after reading some good reviews, but it was pretty disappointing overall. The chicken was burnt and had a weird plastic-like texture. The garlic sauce was basically just mayonnaise with a hint of garlic powder, and the fries were limp and completely unsalted. I’d give the food itself a 3/5, edible but not great. What really soured the experience, though, was the guy up front trying to upsell (and lie) to us. We asked about a small pastry, and he pushed us to get a “Dubai bar,” saying it was $20 but that he’d give it to us for $13 “just for us.” We had already ordered online and knew it was $13 to begin with. That kind of dishonesty left a bad impression, and we refused to buy anything else because of it. Overall, the food was average at best, and the service was off-putting. Definitely prefer Taza by a long shot
