We visited Elephant & Castle during our trip to Chicago and tried a few different dishes. Overall, it’s a lively pub-style restaurant with a casual, high-energy atmosphere. We started with the hummus, which had a balsamic drizzle that added a subtle sweetness. It was served with naan, celery, carrots, and cucumbers. Everything was fresh and a nice way to start the meal. For mains, we had the fish and chips and the Wee Pie Flight. The fish and chips were crispy and fresh, paired well with tartar sauce and lemon for extra flavor. The Wee Pie Flight included shepherd’s pie, chicken pot pie, steak and mushroom, and cheesy leek and potato. My ranking from favorite to least favorite was shepherd’s pie, chicken pot pie, steak and mushroom, and cheesy leek and potato. All were enjoyable, with the cheesy leek and potato being the mildest in flavor. Service was good. Staff checked in often and were attentive throughout the meal. One thing to note is that the restaurant is very loud, so it may not be ideal for those sensitive to noise or sensory overload. Overall, the food was good and the experience was enjoyable, but not particularly standout. Would I go back? Maybe… but only if I’m mentally prepared for the volume. Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐✨

Fantastic experience! We went on a Saturday afternoon and didn’t have a reservation but were seated right away. Our server Tristan was excellent! He greeted us very warmly and energetically which started the meal off right. He also kept the waters filled the whole time and was around if we needed him, but did not feel overbearing or in the way. The food was delicious! We got the tomato and feta appetizer and it was wonderful. We also got the fish and chips and it was some of the best we’ve had. The breading was perfectly fried and crispy and not too thick. The sauce that accompanied it was fabulous and the coleslaw was great. We would definitely come again!

😅 55&... Correct vu la qualité. Alors... Let's go 🍔

Plates were given and after briefly looking we realized they were dirty, some worse than others but the worst having crusty bits and grease droplets still on the plate. We requested new plates and still 2 of them were still dirty. Server was rude and didn’t seem to care much about what we had to say. Food was average, and would definitely recommend getting the fried pickle chips.. but somewhere other than here. And the bathroom had a stained glass window showing the rest of the restaurant that was pretty dark but still make me uncomfortable that somebody would try to look

Our group of four enjoyed Drunk Shakespeare across the street on a Sunday evening and decided to end the night with dinner and drinks at the pub. Walking in it seemed like everyone else in the city had the same thought. But the hostess was quick and hands on. Our server, Malique, was quick , kind, and communicative. Drinks came out fast. He checked in with perfect timing for our food order. The food came out shockingly fast and was delicious. The Pie Flight is a great option for those who can’t decide on food. The atmosphere was clean, authentic, and energized. Comfortable for families, first dates, or just a group of misfits looking for a quick bite and good drinks. Overall 5 stars and all the thumbs up for Malique!
